Is it supposed to be while Squall and Rinoa are what looks like making out, they're remembering their silly school life, and childhood crush, or something like that, kinda like that one scene in KH:Re Chain of Memories, where Sora runs into Riku Replica, and thinks of their child hood spars with the toy swords before he yells "Then I'll make you remember!", or something along those lines?

lol. That's an interesting way of looking at it. But, I was leaning more towards the idea that, as kids - Squall was the shy little boy whom liked the outspoken Rinoa, yet was afraid/embarrassed to really do anything about it. Yet, years later, they're together.
Bad way of putting it, but I would hope you understand the gist.
