Description I'm not dead, how 'bout that? A little dude I sketched up for a project last semester.

I couldn't have done this without princendymion's fabulous old paper tutorial [link]

This helped me a lot with developing the bone structure in my picture.

It's really great.

Wow, a masterpiece to me xD I love the feeling oozing of it, as if it was an old Dark Age parchment! Awesome sketch too! It's gonna help me a great deal in my dragon drawings :3 A zillion thx!

Lol. I looked at bird and dinosaur anatomy for reference. Those kinds of structures work best with the dragons I like to draw. Remember to use lots of reference to make the best piece possible!

Aye, I'll take your advice xD But even if I get a whole lot of reference, I can still mess up my drawings cuz my hand isn't steady enough ^^'. Oh that's why I'd rather draw "monsters", dragons, etc. than humans

Oh totally. But you can still base monsters and dragons off of real-life animals for ref. It just makes a more convincing piece is all

Right, real life animals Yeah I tend to forget to search on that side for ref. Cuz I always kinda think if I take real life animals, than that won't be a fantasy creature anymore! Silly me

I only mean body structure. You can make the outside of the animal as fantastical as you want it to be, but it you don't have a convincing anatomy, it will unintentionally come off as lazy, and it'll look like you aren't taking it seriously. I'm simply offering advice as one artist to another. If you don't want to take it, that's okay too.

This, to me, has to be the soundest example of draconic anatomy I've ever seen. :3

Oh, cool thanks. It's a mix of Velociraptor and secretary bird anatomy.

I adore the texture, colours, and faded appearance of the background. We should sculpt a little dragon skeleton for the apartment.
