this is a very interesting image. I love how you have selective lighting in the image; that's a little hard to accomplish; and it kind of gives the idea that the bubbles may be a source of very faint and diffused lighting. Also I see that you can use light to your advantage in this image, this is a powerful skill clearly visible in this image. The focus plane is very wisely chosen; I love how her face is in focus and she is focused on the bubbles. This causes some sort of chain reaction since ayou first notice her face and see that she's looking at the bubbles, so you look at the bubbles and notice tht the colors in the bubbles match her clothes and her surroundings; it definitely keeps the eye moving and looking at all of the elements that are very cleverly shown here working in union as a whole image. BTW, I love your choice of colors!!
This is a great image that shows you how simple things are very enjoyable and how anything ordinary can be extraordinary if you choose to look at it that way. I really admire how you have everything very simple; and all of the subtle elements are very strong together.
The agle is also very simple and it just adds the right amount of wonder in the image. The black frame makes it seem like if this is a great moment from something very plain; a spark of light in darkness.

i sometimes get carried away with desaturation...it is just too easy to do.
Have you ever played around with Duotone? I have recently been using it to create some interesting desaturating effects.

Yes... I used to use a lot of duotone... haven't experimented w/it much lately though...

it is kind of gimmicky. My favorite tools in photoshop are curves, channel mixer, and hue/saturation. Just experimenting with curves and the mixer can create some interesting color.

if it was not a tight of a crop, yes this would be a easy sell as a good stock photo.
Still a great image!

how come the tight crop is an issue? Just asking cause I have no experience w/stock...

I think a wider crop would open the image up for more uses, it would sell better as a stock image that way.....but that is just my opinion

depends how you look at it... for me I would've wished that the bubbles were on focus and the girl on the background but hey... this looks alright as it is. Nice one

Wow... I would remove the background box thing up top and try to sell this as a stock photo. The few colors in the environment are captured in the bubbles, great stuff.
