I share your misery. Me drawing Hyric would be an example of fanart so I know what you mean. Oh and I have a few things figured out about his suit, how to allow free movement while not hampering protection. But it's not too flexible so it can stop him from breaking his neck for one.

Well drawing your own character isn't fan art... I ment things like Company Wise. Notice the lack of Inuyasha, Sonic, Ratchet, and who knows else!
