Although many wolves have attempted to soften his thoughts on the matter, Lethe most prominent of all, Heel continues to feel a terrible frustration for missing out on the blood sacrifice at the Keres Oak. It wasn't out of blind faith that he was desperate to bleed, but what sort of loyalty could he claim if he wasn't there to offer himself? Every chance had to be taken, and he'd allowed this one, perhaps the most important one, to slip by.
