Wow this is such a powerful image. I want to use it for something with my youth group. I'm not sure if the song actually "promotes" self-harm, if anything I got the feeling that the singer is angry at himself/herself for what they saw as a situation beyond their control.
It was like an outsider really looking in and seeing someone that they care about harm themselves and wanting despirately for them to stop. Wanting them to know that too, but unable to find the words or whatever to do it, until it goes too far and the person died. Then having to live with a nagging regret that had they only said something, perhaps done something sooner this would not happen.
Anyway powerful picture of a very real issue.

I really like the photo you've used. It fits perfectly with the song. I also like how the blood is the only colored thing. It draw attention and shows the meaning greatly. And the song is awesome! I just heard it today. Great Job hun....

This piece made me cry. I love it. Though as another said, the razors are a bit big, and the blood is the perfect tinit, however, the way its coming out of the wounds isn't perfect, but the way you did it created such catharsis in me.

I love that song, it makes me cry sometimes because I can sadly relate to the girl with strawberry gashes, as it were. Also the line that states "I dreamt of a devil that knew her" makes me think that the girl was sexually abused, as I was.
This is fairly well manipulated. I like how the blood is the only colour you can see in this picture, it really lets the viewer know that it is a very important detail.

It's a great song (has it). But in relashionship to the song, there are no " Strawberries" gashed in this piece. That's my interpretation of this though.

strawberries are red. blood is red. that's why the song is titled Strawberry Gashes as well as how it has to do with the picture. or atleast I think so.

i thought 'strawberry gashes' (the song) actually meant cuts, i.e. gashes which would be red, and it was called this because the girl in the song is wounded mentally (possibly physically i.e. self harm) i dunno?!

damn girl! thats fucked up lol i really like how the blood is the only color, but i think the razor blades kinda brings it down a lil, there a bit to big and that kinda brings me away from it. but aside from that its kick ass, the cuts look hella real its awesome.
