Ignore that title. What the hell am I supposed to call a piece like this? They're playing in the shadows. It's kinda appropriate.

The background is meant to be the Shadow Realm.
Kinda just looks like puffy clouds.
I had so many different ideas for the reasoning behind why Haunter and Mariku are pulling faces at each other, but most of them involved the Millenium Rod. And guess who can't draw the Sennin Eye.
Or whatever it's called.

So now the reason is, they're both stuck in the Shadow Realm, and passing the time. Wooo, how interesting and original.
I wanted Haunter to have stolen the rod, being all "NyahnyahnaNYAHNYAH", and Mariku being all "BASTARD GIVE IT BACK." But that didn't work out. Sadly.
Mariku's right arm is mean limp. I didn't know what to do with them, and was tempted to not draw them on and put stumps on instead, but decided against it.
First proper attempt at cell shading. I'm quite proud.
And with a track pad, too. A really shifty one that doesn't work half the time. Achievement? I think yes.
