Cyclotron tries to cheer up his best friend "Starshine" with a crown, he likes crowns right?Talked about having one that got crushed so surely he'll like this right?
Starscream however is not in the mood for his 'friend' although he's having second thoughts about his rashness.
Starscream blurted out 'Starshine' as a fake name when the kid asked for his name.

I've been thinking about a part two actually!
There are a few ways I could take this comic and they do lead up to a 'redemption arc' for Starscream! There's another pic relating to it I've yet to upload, I am SUPER behind on uploads

Yep, I mean Megs is the 'big bad' guy, the 'main villain' and also a canonical sociopathic, tyrannical, genocidal psychopathic warlord who abused his men, almost destroyed his own home planet and nearly wiped out his own species. Kinda feels like he should be left as irredeemable. He kinda is really and in all honesty fans and canon works have been really unimpressive with him getting a bit of a light slap on the wrist and "oh he feels bad/is on okay terms with Optimus" as some kinda wipe away for not making him have any proper punishment as decided by the people.
But let's be real this is a fandom who saw Megs abusing Starscream since the 1980's and decided to ship it, which is a big 'ew' from me.
Anyway I'm rambling.

I guess I can see that but he did go to prison either way so he still got his punishment. Symthpathic or not because most don't forgive him for his actions did for those millions of years. And in Prime, he saw that as well and decided to exile himself from Cybertron. So he wasn't entirely redeemed but he finally saw his actions. Not only that you have to remember Megatron and Orion aka Prime were once friends before the war, so made it sense and even in G1 was the same thought Megs deceived him but it works the same way. So that's why this works. He's not Unicron for the matter. So he wasn't pure evil with no sense of redemption but that's what I think in my opinion.
Lol, I don't really care for that much. For me, it's just "Why?" Like why ship with Starscream considering he's a backstabber, coward and liar and yet everybody ships him. Like da hell?Ā

He got hardly any time in prison for said crimes of billions of years of murder and destruction then he's suddenly hailed as a "pacifist icon" as if some "well I didn't mean it to go this far" suddenly makes it that he wasn't a barbarous monster to both his enemies and towards his own men. The way his crimes get wiped away and swept under the carpet so easily by fans and canon alike is quite ridiculous to the extent it has inspired me to completely retcon Megatrons story in this Universe.
TFP's ending was cowardly nothing else, he had nowhere else to run and rather than face any judgment from those he wronged he fled. Suddenly claiming to see how oppressing others is wrong was weak considering they make out he started the whole war to fight back against the systematic oppression of which he suffered. So he already knew his actions were wrong and causing suffering but only acknowledged it then when it suited him.
I can literally see Unicron being redeemed before Megatron.
And he is in this AU.
Because while he's a god that represents things we find negative he is neither a force for 'good' or 'evil' he simply fulfils his role to keep the universe in balance. The reason he's such a horrific twisted monstrosity when he's first seen in this au is that he was influenced and broken by something beyond his control which kept getting worse and worse.
Then there's the likes of BWII Starscream who is wonderful shipping material because he is a fantabulous lad.

I do have a semi-possible follow-up for this comic, I just feel a bit weird in if I should do X/Y/Z first or not, there's a lot of stories I want to do but don't know where/how/when to start or display it. This is definitely part of an arc though, Starscream has a lot of issues to go through first though, I have the beginning of his "reformed" design too 'cos he'll change in appearance.

I know the feeling. Even I have stories that I'm not sure if want to or how to upload them without causing some uproar and "offend" someone. So I can see where you are coming from with this but that's the risk I always take and not worry what people think of it like that. Even for your reformed Starscream.

Well It's not about causing uproar and 'offence' with the stories I have, this arc is more Starscream realising he now has no obligation to the Decepticons and is harming himself by holding onto bitterness and learns that a lot of his bad attitude comes from centuries of abuse from Megatron as is his habit of bitterly clinging to things. He comes to terms with how much he hurt his old friend Skyfire and how he may not want him back in his life anymore, and how he's lost his two brothers because of his own twisted anger and apathy. It leads to a fic of him and Galvatron talking about their shared pasts with abusive controllers (which is made obvious by the prior mentioned semi-related pic that'll be uploaded soon).
I've shared the ideas with a few people who have reacted positively and like how I'm looking at ideas and how it will go so, yeah, I think the only/main thing that'd upset anyone about this AU is more the fact my bitterness at the fandom spurred me to make Extriverse!Megatron the most horrific piece of shit character ever to the point where his death is practically a national holiday across the universe.
It's more where I want to start with it. Afterall this comic is a good start but at the same time a lot happens before this like DeceptiLord dethroning Galvatron, Starscream befriending Galvs son that we see here in this comic and being a bit of a not-the-best influence on him during his early years (although Cyclotron still thinks he's great) and all sorts of things like that so I don't know if I want to start them first or just carry on with this arc and explain that to anyone who asks.
Well I try not to be an ass regardless but only tend to notice if I've gone overboard only after I've sent things haha.

Yeah, it's more timeline-wise than if I'll upset anyone. I plan to do a lot of research into how people who have been treated badly act to make sure the way Starscream responds to stuff is not rude or dismissive to people in real life who have experienced such similar things.

Yeah, he shouldn't but he is also dealing with a lot himself, lashing out at those who don't deserve it is likely.
