Description
Franchise: HaloAffiliation: Directive 8, Paranormal Tactical Force, S.T.A.K.E
Branch: Paranormal Tactical Force, S.T.A.K.E (Special Tactical Archive for Known Extranormalities)
Motto: "Haunt and Hunt"
Type: Paranormal Operations, Commando Unit, Black Ops, Unconventional Warfare
Vehicles: The Monster Truck- A Massive, heavily modified Traxus Komodo Superheavy Truck modified and armed to the teeth with all manner of spooky weapons and accessories, sporting armour made from the armoured skin of a supernatural monster whose brain is hooked up to The Monster Truck and is responsible for the roaring that the frontal 'jaws' of the Monster Truck let out. In addition, the Monster Truck is driven by ghostly entities which allow it to go invisible, intangible, inaudible, imperceptible, fly, travel at super speeds and weaponise said ghostly entities. The Monster Truck can also go into 'Seventh Gear'. When it goes into seventh gear, The Monster Truck reaches such phenomenally high speeds that it opens ghostly portals which allow it to travel between different realities or use the shortened distance between realms to cover for the longer distance in the material world, thus technically allowing The Monster Truck to teleport too.
Scare Force One- A highly modified and customised D81-LRT Condor that is adorned with skeletal ornaments. One of the most iconic things about Scare Force One is the shape of its wings- which have been reformatted into the shape of bat wings. Scare Force One also comes equipped with tractor beams and is heavily armed with special weapons that fire shots charged with incantations spoken by Naktighoul, the team’s resident wizard and expert on the supernatural.
Base of Operations: Area 13, New Jersey, USA, Earth
Status: Active
Members:
Sam Slickman/Daggers (Human/Vampire at the front)- Half Human, Half Vampire, all monster hunter. Sam Slickman is an individual who has been around for a few hundred years, as a paranormal individual whom the Directive 8 Agency has taken notice of. Sam Slickman is a hardcore skilled badass, no nonsense, no bullsh**. Daggers is, as his name suggests, highly talented using sharp tools and weapons, particularly monster hunting knives which he enjoys spinning around his fingers and throwing at enemies. Slickman has an intense devotion to stopping the supernatural worlds and societies from crossing over into people's mostly vanilla lives, believing that if they did then it could spell doom for both sides of the spectrums. His hardcore devotion and immersion into the paranormal underworld whilst often being present in the normal world has given him a hard exterior and a shell few have been able to breach, mostly due to having seen the death and chaos he has tried to prevent unfold first hand. Daggers cultivates few relationships and keeps his relationships purely professional, though he has been known to hold deep grudges. It is only when Slickman believes his mission is or has come to an end when he starts to loosen up a little. Daggers arms himself with a massive arsenal of knives, daggers, swords, Steampunk-style guns and UNSC Tactical Weapons. Sam Slickman was born in Swamptown, Colsiana on the Human colony of Oustri to a human mother and a father who was a Vampire- member of a race of formerly regular beings enhanced by the reshaping effects of Dark Alchemical biological experiments. Slickman was taken by Darksister Occultists and his own mother to the isolated world of Anuust to meet Mother Saaszin of the Dark Voodoo-embracing Darksisters. Mother Saaszin harboured Slickman and his mother as her own and eventually sent Sam off to train as a Warrior of the Darkbrothers. Though Slickman succeeded all his trials, he eventually discovered that the Darksisters and the Darkbrothers had only taken him and his mother in to use his vampire genealogy to further their occult. From then on Slickman sought out the help of other colonists on Anuust who, unlike the Darksisters and Darkbrothers, embraced the form of Magic/Neural Physics known as Voodoo in its regular form- untainted by darkness. With the help of the Light Siblinghood, Slickman left Anuust and travelled to Earth where he became involved with the paranormal underworld and became a monster hunter, secretly using his vampire teeth to his advantage. After around two hundred years of this, Slickman was eventually discovered alongside the supernatural world by the human Directive 8 agency, and later on Director Rock Fowler of Directive 8 recruited Slickman as the first official member of S.T.A.K.E, and he eventually became the founding member of The Taskforce of Terror.
Medusa (The woman with snakes coming from her head)- One of the early Gorgon sisters of the Gorgon race-genetically engineered snake-like aliens seeded on Planet Earth, it is unknown whether Medusa, her sisters or the other Gorgons are Gorgons of Ancient Greek mythology or are simply named after so. Outcast from society and her own sisters in Ancient Greece due to her actions and her appearance, Medusa is an agile, and (even we have to admit, pretty damn sexy) capable warrior who can turn anyone into stone if she looks at them in a certain way with all her hair-snakes. Medusa is also a flirty and at times unpredictable individual who many have been quick to underestimate. Her horrific capabilities are more than enough to cause mayhem that is beyond unprecedented. Medusa was one of the Gorgon sisters, all of which took a vow of celibacy, which she broke after her views on their place in society changed and she rebelled against what had been established for her. After this, her sisters and the other Gorgons outcasted her and she became known as the most famous of the 'Gorgon Monsters' among the human populace. Seeking escape, Medusa snapped and broke away from society entirely and became a self-serving agent, only wishing to do as she wished with nobody else's rules to follow. Medusa pursued her own interests for many millennia, doing as she wished, how she wished, with whomever she wished, but she refused to do anything truly 'evil', as she was against degrading herself to the level of the Ancient Greek society and her own sisters. Eventually, her actions were taken note of by Directive 8 and Agent Barry Gibson of the agency recruited her into S.T.A.K.E and the Taskforce of Terror, selling it to her by persuading her that it would help her do good and help people like her come out of hiding.
Romeso Sylstan/Hound of the Baskervilles (The werewolf)- A Hundezaven Directive 8 operative who joined the agency when his world was discovered during the Human-Covenant War. Sysltan is quite a chummy and self-accomplished individual who's the sort of guy you wanna grab a drink with. But when it comes to a mission, he's all business, but he's a little bit of fun. Romeso is all about loyalty though he is ready to leave certain situations if he does not believe they are beneficial to him anymore. Truly, this guy just wants to improve and better himself and is always quite a positive individual. Romeso lived peacefully on his homeworld but was angered by the failure of the law to apprehend the most awful criminals on his world, so Sylstan originally joined the law enforcement and broke orders and the budget of the local law enforcement to go the extra mile to apprehend suspects. Eventually he was fired for it and he was looking for work for a long time until his world was discovered by the UNSC and the Covenant and he eventually got a job as a security guard on a Hundezaven Diplomatic Starship. Romeso joined Directive 8 after his skills were recognised and he showed evidence of being an expert tracker and intelligence operative, whom the agency believed the talents of were being ill-used. Though he joked about how humans thought he was "one of their Halloween monsters"- a werewolf, when the offer to join The Taskforce of Terror came, Sylstan duly accepted.
Jack O'Lanley/Jack-O (The guy on the flying disc)- GAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! LISTEN UP TRICK OR TREATERS, JACK-O'S ONE CRAZY SON OF A WITCH SPARTAN HEAVY GUNNER WITH A PUMPKIN-SHAPED HELMET WHO CACKLES WILDLY...AND I MEAN....WILDLY!!!!...IN COMBAT...GAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!...........Sorry about that, sometimes insane deranged lunatics take control and we just have to neuter them. Anyway, lets continue where he left off: Jack-O is a mentally deranged psychopath who loves to use incendiary weaponry as much as possible alongside his self-engineered 'Pumpkin Grenades' which he oh so loves to lob at his foes from his glider disc hovercraft, also self built, whilst laughing hysterically. He also makes use of a sound machine to change his voice so it sounds 'robo-demonic' and to just play horrifying noises to disturb his enemies. He's really not quite right in the head. Jack-O was a Spartan-II supersoldier who enjoyed disobeying orders and was severely deranged, as he often cackled wildly and insanely as soon as he opened fire on Insurrectionists, creeping out his teammates and raising concerns with ONI. Eventually, Jack was removed from service and he went on a downward spiral personally and became even mroe and more deranged. He was eventually driven to total insanity and for years he armed himself with a massive arsenal of weapons, crafting a JackO'Lantern theme as his persona. But ONI's monitoring of him led them to believe he was going to become a terrorist, which he was fully intending to do. Knowing how dangerous O'Lanley was, ONI sent a kill team after him, but Rock Fowler of Directive 8 had other plans and he intercepted the team and offered Jack an outlet for his frustrations in The Taskforce of Terror, which a calming and cooling-off Jack O'Lanley accepted.
Yetus/Abominable Snowbrute (The white-haired Brute)- A wise, immortal Jiralhanae loner from the snowy world of Ozoin with white hair all over his body. Yetus acts as the muscle of the team. He is mostly quiet and reserved, not wanting to cause too much trouble or do any harm. Yetus takes all hits in his personal life and faces them like a 'manly man', he doesn't open up about his feelings and thoughts, and his long life has taken a toll on him which he won't talk about. That being said, Yetus is always on hand to help people in need, or do odd jobs, or offer his services in anyway he deems acceptable. Diagnosis: Yetus works too hard, and the result is stress that has built up inside him for decades that he hasn't ever taken the time to relieve with some relaxation. For the longest time, Yetus, a Jiralhanae who had achieved immortality by unknown means, lived alone on the unknown planet of Ozoin and never talked to anyone, he simply lived and survived, eventually becoming known as a legendary creature to the people of Ozoin- The Ozalz species who viewed him as some frightening creature who would leave them alone if they left him alone. The truth was that Yetus felt like he was only existing, not living and hadn't talked to anyone in at least 100 years. The only interaction he had was when an Ozalz tribe he had for decades watched come and go from a site nearby his cave came around for the season, and each time they showed up, everyday he would make sure he had more food than he needed so he could throw some of his to them, due to the tribe having a problem with hunting and training younger members to hunt. The Ozalz children would sometimes throw or kick their balls or toys and they'd land in his camp, Yetus would then toss them back over to them kindly. One day however, he received a whole bounty of food thrown over in a a sack and the Tribe leader, with some of the children said that he didn't have to throw that on back and that it was for him as a thanks for all the good he did for them, warming his lonely heart. Yetus was recruited into The Taskforce of Terror when he frightened an Ozalz Tribe whom Directive 8 Agent Barry Gibson had been travelling with to meet with the 'Abominable', Gibson met with Yetus after Yetus scared the entire tribe, and remarked that he expected something more than just a Jiralhanae, giving him the nickname 'Abominable Snowbrute'. Barry then persuaded him to join The Taskforce of Terror with the promise of the company of others.
Spartan-398 Sean/Alpha Zombie (The Spartan zombie with blood over his armour)- This Zombie isn't 'friendly' per say, he just won't eat you or your brains. Not unless he's really hungry. Alpha Zombie is a horrific creature whom scares the living daylights out of all his opponents, and then some. He's also ridiculously fast, fuelled by vengeful necromantic rage, Alpha Zombie is a vile, animalistic creature, so it's probably best that if you're a paranormal monster, you stay on the good guy's side. Please, it's for your own good. Seriously, do. Alpha Zombie can spread his 'infection' to the enemies he kills and is able to temporarily command them until they die out. Sean was a Spartan killed in action during battle with a Dark Alchemist, who was reanimated using a mixture of scientific reanimation experiments and Dark Alchemist necromantic incantations but escaped. Alpha Zombie joined the Taskforce of Terror after being captured by Directive 8 and experimented on, the result of these experiments being the loss of his mindlessness and the return of Sean's consciousness, if only in his actions to the Alpha Zombie, but when they realised they couldn't make anything more from him, they decided that his existence would be better spent as a member of their tactical force: S.T.A.K.E. The agency then transferred him to S.T.A.K.E and then he joined The Taskforce of Terror.
General Deadfire/Cryptarius IX (The Roman-armour dude with a massive sword)- General Deadfire is a former Roman General and Undead Warrior reanimated by stray Nebulous Sapphire from Turok Nar 'Mdragath. General Deadfire, with his skeletal frame, cold voice, and tremendous abilities, is often assumed to be a bit of a frightening fellow. In truth, he is a very frightening fellow. Despite that however, he possesses a clear-cut sense of honour which is a surviving trait from his past life as Cryptarius IX, as shown by his dedication to his fellow teammates in The Taskforce of Terror. Deadfire is also shown to be quite cautionary in his decision making, often taking charge of tactical decisions to explain his efforts to conserve resources and make sure that the team is able to efficiently 'bank' their progress in missions by updating Directive 8 on them and marking them at certain intervals and asking for backstops like supplies to be dropped off at certain locations, in case the team messes up in a mission and is forced to fallback to one of these locations. Many centuries ago, a Roman General met an Orkeyan Princess who visited Earth from the planet of Orkeya, and the two conceived a child. That child became Cryptarius IX, an excellent Elite warrior and general fighting for the Roman Empire, but he was eventually betrayed by his subordinates and killed, left dead in what would become ruins for centuries. But during the Great Schism of the Covenant, a stray shard of Nebulous Sapphire originating from Turok Nar 'Mdragath's excessive use of the substance for his own powers hurtled all the way from High Charity's orbit at unimaginable speeds towards Earth, and struck Cryptarius' long dead remains. The General was resurrected though as an undead Nebulous Sapphire skeleton, but without a real connection to Turok, the skeleton roamed around until it eventually learned who it was millennia ago. When he was found by Directive 8, he was questioned and eventually enlisted as a member of S.T.A.K.E, Cryptarius took the new name "General Deadfire" and was eventually assigned as a member of The Taskforce of Terror.
Rash Starnesy 'Odd Flood Out'- The Odd Flood Out is a friendly Flood Abomination. The Odd Flood Out is also a faceless creature that cannot communicate in a way he/it's teammates can really understand, truth be told they haven't a clue what Odd Flood Out is really trying to vocalise. The Odd Flood Out is a mysterious thing, it's pretty impossible to know what he/it is thinking, and it simply travels alongside the Taskforce of Terror as its resident weird, freaky but scarily powerful creature. Rash Starnesy used to be a witty, perhaps too witty and charmingly geeky Computing expert and teacher who eventually joined the UNSC as a technical engineer. During the T.O.R-Desticron war, he was the best friend of Jack O'Lanley who had just recently been given a new chance by Directive 8, while sent with Jack on a secret mission to test a Prototype Flood cure in a Flood hive, Rash was infected by an infection form carrying a Key Mind consciousness and quickly transformed into a Flood Abomination, but Jack quickly injected the cure into Rash, which did not work, but it did stop him from being controlled by the Flood Key Mind, possibly destroying it or limiting its control over him, so he never became part of the hive, now travels as the weird, unconventional creature of the team.
Naktighoul/Doctor Nocturnal (The Flying alien wizard mofo)- A Low-Caste Precursor Sorcerer previously stationed on Earth's Moon who has mastered Dark Alchemy and Magic, seamlessly combining both into Dark Magic. Doctor Nocturnal provides the Taskforce with mystical support, using incantations and curses to assist his allies. Whilst Doctor Nocturnal is one of the most valuable assets to the team, some individuals are skeptical that he has ulterior motives for himself. Doctor Nocturnal knows of these suspicions, but ignores them. He prefers to be as productive as possible at all times, even to the point of projecting his astral form out of his physical body whilst he sleeps or rests to catch up on spell-book reading. Naktighoul was a rarity among the Moon's hidden Lesser-Precursor population in that he had no interest in following Emperor Ravtuk's mission of restoring glory to the Precursor Empire and instead freely wandered the Moon whenever he pleased, studying and documenting the environment around him. When Naktighoul first encountered humans, the humans were ONI Agents investigating paranormal activities on the Moon, having found a culprit, Naktighoul was captured and brought with them back to Earth and transferred to an ONI facility where he was interrogated and forced to demonstrate his abilities. After spending some time identifying paranormal activities for ONI Section-1, Naktighoul realised what ONI was doing and tried to escape. He succeeded, but ended up a high priority target by Section-1. Naktighoul spent years hiding from ONI, even after the organisation was disbanded in 2553 as it continued to operate as an underground organisation until 2557 when Director Rock Fowler of the new Directive 8 agency, which took over a portion of ONI’s former activities, ordered to have Naktighoul transferred to Directive 8 as part of his Paranormal Tactical Force, Naktighoul then joined the agency's Paramormal Response Team- The Taskforce of Terror and became more colloquially referred to as "Doctor Nocturnal".
The Invisible Man (The floating sunglasses)- The members of the Taskforce claim to have a tenth member named The Invisible Man. The Invisible Man is, you guessed it, Invisible, so nobody knows if the Taskforce is actually telling the truth or if it's just an inside joke. It probably is, right? What's that breathing down my neck?
Overview: A group of (mostly) supernatural beings assembled by Director Rock Fowler to serve as a Paranormal Activity/Threat response and assessment team.
(EDIT: 2020- Decided to give a few of these guys a little revamp along with some minor corrections and updates that make them more coherent with my Haloverse’s timeline, as well as adding Scare Force One to the team’s bio.)

Thank you very much, I wanted to include all the main Halloween monsters into the lineup along with anything else that could be taken as spooky. Oddly enough, I didn't include a ghost in the Taskforce.
I've never done commissions, though I have done requests. Go ahead, I'm all ears.
