CHARCOAL IS AMAZING OMFG.Inspired by the lovely *sVa-BinaryStar
I tried charcoal for the first time and I absolutely love it !!
Of course the anatomy is off but hey, this is my first ever charcoal piece so I am happy with it 
And guess who it is ??
Brownie points to who can get it right ! ;DAlso, I edited it a bit in photoshop because my proportions were way off
Oh well, practice makes perfect ! 
Any advice for a newbie ??
I would love to hear !

That's so awesome that you were inspired to do this!! It looks great by the way, he has a very cute face and the depth is nicely done. Overall it has a nice classic portrait feel! May I add a bit of critique? You did good keeping the highlighted areas lightened, I know thats hard, but if you try again, maybe leave them even more lighter so there's more highlight and it will add even more depth to what you already have going on. 
This really does look great though, you should be proud!

i should get back to more traditional drawing, I love it so much. humm maybe after my mom and me finish all of the spring cleaning.that might take a while we are putting new laminate hardwood flooring down

Can't give any advice on charcoal. I am new to it as well. My project is almost finished but I need hi-if gray pastels to finish. Yep. Charcoal and pastels.

Isn't it, though? I'm not a master at charcoal, but I'd suggest thoroughly washing your hands when finished with it!
