Melody did suffer some injuries during her fall off of Champ. ([link] ) She was instructed not to ride for a few months aka a death sentence. Not riding... for a FEW months?? This was going to feel like years and Melody wasn't planning waiting years to do what kept her alive (and almost killed her... ironic.)

Since she couldn't hop on (well, she would've but her mom was peeking through the window... drat.) she decided to go chill with her favorite stallion (don't tell the others!) ISI Capriccio.

She shoved a few treats in her pocket and hobbled out to the middle of the pasture where he was dozing off in the hot Florida sun. He awoke with a head shake and a welcoming snort. A smile spread across her face as he walked over to her and put his head against her side. "Awww buddy you missed me so much that you wanted to give me a hug!!" She wrapped her arms around his neck, breathing in the scent of freshly cut grass mixed with the smell of a horse.

She felt a pair of horse lips fiddling with her pocket and rolled her eyes. "Wow bud, thanks for making me feel special for that one second! Here is a treat you fat snob!" She handed the carrot to the beast and he crunched on it happily, pleased with himself that he got a carrot.

Gotta love those moments when you think your horse actually loves you when in reality, he just wants some treats!
