Wait, what last sentence?
I read that thing on Wikipedia, but I've also heard people say that it's implied that Chell dies after all that work, and "Still Alive" is GLaDOS taunting her.
But I like to think she lives, and I still don't understand what the cake at the end means.

While that would make sense, and it would be something GlaDOS would do, I think if that was true she (GLaDOS) wouldn't be sending the second verse of the song, in letter format, to (Insert Subject Name Here) AKA Chell because she wouldn't read it ever, and some of the lines in the song would be altered (like she wouldn't say 'and when you're dying I'll be still alive'
The cake at the end is another taunt from GLaDOS. All throughout the game, promises of cake is made, and warnings from a mysterious benefactor (who I personally think is Cave Johnson, the founder of this company, when his mind deteriorated due to mercury poisoning, before his death) that GLaDOS is lying to you, there is no cake. It turns out that both GLaDOS and Cave (if it is Cave) were right and wrong - there is cake, but it's not for you, it's for GLaDOS (and the companion cube).

Ohhhhh.... Okay, your ending makes WAY more sense than the one somebody alse was telling me.
It went something like this:
"She dies at the end! That's why GLaDOS says 'while you're dying I'll be still alive..'"
"But she says 'WHEN you're dying'!"
"...Nuh-uh! And anyway, Chell came out in the Half Life world, so she'll probably die after she escapes."
"But she went through all that! She's tough and smart, she can do it!"
*sniff* He just doesn't beleive in Chell! After all she's been through...

Besides the amazing detail on GLaDOS (you must've studied it for a while, I'm sure), that is one of the more accurate depictions of Chell I've seen. It'd be damn neat if you did a reference picture of her, that way others can get her right. <3

She feels FANTASTIC... and she's still alive.
A truly fantastic piece! I've never seen a more incredible depiction of GLaDOS in the flesh! Or-- polymer, as the case may very well be. What really strikes me though is how you so accurately portray 'her' massive size as compared to Chell, which when presented in such a position, gives the computer an eerily menacing appearance! Something I believe wasn't viewed as strongly in the actual gameplay, especially while 'she' is thrashing about in mechanical convulsions and continually spewing almost juvenile taunts in the player's direction. Indeed, GLaDOS truly made Portal, in my opinion, otherwise it wouldn't have been quite as much fun!
Definitely a fav! It's great to see so many other people hold a similar soft spot for the sarcastic, yet still composed, cake-adoring super computer who would like nothing more than to gas your brain into a slushy mess! Well done!

Definitely she, as well as her hoards of absolutely sweetheart turrets. It should definitely be intriguing to see how the plotline eventually merges together with that of Half-Life, since it's clear that even though GLaDOS may still be alive, she's no longer going to be in the picture. Still, weirdly enough, she's going to be a "baddie" who will be missed, and you certainly don't get that too often!
