Description
Newland HeadSouth Australia
A quick week spent on the coast with family over christmas allowed me to explore some of the local coastline to locations I had hoped noone else had really photographed before! I have a few new 'go to' spots for the summer months now I think!

Great power and presence. The perfectly lit rock and the sun peaking through the clouds communicate very well with each other.

Crooked horizon or not - breathtaking.
I did not even notice
Do you publish your photos? In my books your are one of the best Australian photographers I had a chance to admire. You are there with the likes of Ken Duncan.

we've only done it through momento for us personally - frightfully expensive for others to buy though - this is our favourite www.momentoshop.com.au/sp/id/8…

Yes, I can only see the cover but it is stunning.
I wonder if it is worthwhile to contact publishing houses specializing in publishing photography books and show them the momento books. Have you tried to contact publishers? Maybe even someone in Iceland for the one on Iceland. I think your photos should be shared with the world. If the publishing houses think the books will sell they will take them on board. I wish I had enough money to invest in them myself

that has been the problem, I was part of a share project for publishing a book on tasmania and did not make back the investment - close but still disheartening lol

What about Iceland? Any publishers/agents who could get interested there in your Iceland collection?
About the Tasmania books - did you have to sell them below their value or do you have unsold books left?
I am sorry to ask the questions, but I am sort of interested in publishing and thinking how to go about your photographs/albums in the best way.

I think there are now too many photographers doing iceland! (we should have asked at the time of our first visit when noone was going there in 2009)
We have a few tassie books lying around not doing much - didn't have the energy to persevere though we sold about 70 of the 100 ,quite a few below RRP though. - THere were 10 contributors in the group and the tassie locals sold all of them very quickly. Clearly, selling a book with local interest is the way to go!

my wife and I aren't good marketers unfortunately lol! The Tassie book was over 200 pages for RRP 50AUD . Slightly smaller than A4. The print run meant that we all had to pay about$2k for our 100 books then freight to have it delivered to where we were based (once again an advantage for the locals).

Maybe there is more photographers of Iceland now, but you are absolutely outstanding.
How many pages are in the Tasmania books? What page size are they? I will do some research
I deal a lot with printers (I am a graphic designer) and my daughter is working in publishing.
With your talent you should be as popular as Ken Duncan.

Great centre piece, the long exposure really adds another dynamic to the image.Love the sky too btw.The horizon seems just a tad off kilter.
