This cartoon's definitely pretty dated, but since I was watching this movie the other night and I find this scene really funny, I thought I'd share it here.The gag in the final panel is in reference to Sonia Sotomayor, and the "controversy" that existed at the time over whether or not it was good for a judge to have empathy. I wanted to develop a cartoon that highlighted famous judges from popular culture without empathy: Besides the above, I also considered referencing Judge Dredd, the Quintessons from Transformers: The Movie, and/or Judge Turpin from Sweeny Todd. I decided on Who Framed Roger Rabbit's Judge Doom because I thought he'd be the funniest.
I think a commenter on my website [link] put it best:
"Judge Doom is GOP all the way. He supports the construction of the Freeway years before Eisenhower championed the Interstate Highway System, he’s pro business, and he’s distrustful of entertainment types. More over, the fact that he’s a toon cements the Republican Party’s 'Big Tent' reputation."

To add to the commenter: Since he dislikes entertainment types(toons), the fact that he wants to bulldoze all of Toontown suggests what the GOP wants to do with lands that belong to minorities. I hope that makes sense.

As others have said, political commentary in the final panel aside, you captured the scene perfectly. I was terrified and hiding my face when I saw Doom's real eyes and such when I first saw the movie as a kid(of course I was also like 4 or 5 years old), but what makes Doom all the scarier is how toons are motivated by laughter and humor, so would that mean he did everything he did and attempted(murder, torture, attempted genocide, etc) because he finds it all hilarious?
