Apparently I draw zombies well with quite a lot of ease. Who knew?This cartoon got quite a bit of traffic on my website thanks to Reddit and Stumbleupon... unfortunately, that didn't keep up longer than a couple of days.
I think I may make a habit of posting editorial cartoons here a few days/maybe a week after they show up on my cartoon blog, so if you wanna see stuff when it's fresh, go here .

Sorry, but Obama has done absolutely NOTHING against the corruption of Wall Street and The Federal Reserve. If anything, things has gotten worse than ever before during his reign. It's too bad all stupid americans don't get that it doesn't matter what president they elect. They're not the ones who hold the power of government. They have to abide to the already set rules in order to hold their office. It's a rigged game. If you want any change in your shitty country, you should either let it go complete bankrupt (which it will if your government keeps raising the bar for how much money they can add to the national debt) or you can decise to arrest all involved in the deep corruption of politics, tear apart your constitution, write a new one where you can easily control the bankers and politicians with different set of laws and regulations, and start anew. The country which your forefathers imagined in their dreams is the exact opposite of what it has become. Funny enough, George Washington and Benjamin Franclin, amongst others, predicted this outcome very well. It's just human nature that a contry becomes corrupt sooner or later, and that a revolution/drastic changes of some sorts will have to come into play.

I sheepishly admit, I had to look up the definition of Reaganomics as the term has been smacking me mercilessly in the face for a while now (and I only first heard it a while ago, I'm not that old, and just now started paying attention to politics.)

The cartoon in question was from the beginning of Obama's term, and is almost two years old by now. At that point in time, it wasn't clear how he'd set about the difficult task of repairing 30 years of insidious and destructive economic policies championed by Ronald Reagan, and it wasn't unreasonable to assume that he would. Even then, I had already done a previous cartoon earlier in Obama's term which was highly critical of him, so the notion that I deify or otherwise give him too much slack is ignorant at best.
The main point of this cartoon was to mock the naive expectation some people had for Obama to deliver quick-fixes to the above-noted problems. Even if he'd stuck to all his campaign promises to the letter, these expectations would be impossible to satisfy, because apparently many people have vastly underestimated their scale, not to mention their perniciousness due to a large number of powerful interests continuing to push in the opposite direction.
In light of that, I think the cartoon remains relevant, though it could perhaps be followed upon with another panel that shows a zombified Obama among the horde with a bite taken out of his shoulder.

To all the people whining about Obama this and Obama that, we all know you hate Obama. How many times must you shout about it? No one really cares about your political view, if you don't like the picture and it's polotics there are plenty other pictures you can flock to.
