Description
This is an art-trade of sorts for ~jrl3001 . He wanted a mysterious blue nebula, and a ringed planet with a couple of moons. 2 of the really tiny moons are repeats of planets from other spacescapes as I got too lazy. But all the others are original.I'm trying a new method of texturing surfaces--using just highlight and shadow to texture the planets rather than messing with the 3-4 layers of emboss the Greg Martin tutorials call for. I'm not sure if it worked out or not, but the planets do look cool. Also skipped the atmospheres on some of them as they'd be airless moons without that soft fuzzy glow around them.
The rings I am still trying to make work in a sense. I've had fun futzing with rings in the past--but they took bloody forever to do. And yet again, even with some different methods, the rings still took bloody forever to do. Bah.
I really hadn't intended to toss two deviations up in such a short space, but then was like "Bah, might as well. I'm bored, insomniac, and what the hell."
And I've been meaning to do a blue-themed spacescape for ages.
So...here it is.
Adobe Photoshop 7.0 with Wacom 8x6 Intuos3.
A touch of humorous trivia. The file is named spacelol.jpg.

Thanks.
I wanted to do something blue for a while, simply because of the mystery inherent in it. So it's nice to see that it's worked out.
I'll have to tackle green next I guess.

Somehow,I...just like the silent dark blue.
It seem there are somethings hide in the vicinity of the shadow of the planets.
I just need the SP mission background like that~!
