some steampunk goggles i made at work. they're not finished yet as i still have some aging down to do of the metal and they need a leather strap with a buckle. oh and they dont actually have the orange tint yet, i need to find some vinyl for that.Please also swing by my art blog, I update it pretty regularly at the moment:

They would be pretty expensive to be honest. These ones were only made really as a display pair (I have worn them to a few festivals and parties, but they weren't really designed for it). If I were to make pairs to sell they would take more time.

Yes they're for welding, and the gears are just found off random bits of machinery and toys.

Fantastic creation! did they all start with a pair of welding goggles with a green exterior and black lenses? if so i think i may have picked up the same one, now if only i had magic i could make them look maby half as good as yours, id be happy.

What did you use to connect the gears together? Did you just use a hot glue gun?

all sorts really. screws and superglue mainly.

I've managed to make some stuff at work, but nothing of this level of detail. I love how everything meshes together. It's got so many little bits, but they blend subtly, especially with the great aging you did. Marvelous!

Of course! Thanks so much for your interest. I will most likely be making more sooner than later. Ideally they should be of a higher build quality if im making them for people. Eventually i'll make some motorised ones which are fully functional!
