Europe is definitely a hotbed for it, but it still takes a lot of research and groundwork. I've been to about 600+ places or so now, which is still a tiny fraction of the number of interesting abandoned buildings that are around.

True that. There's an abandoned death row prison a mile away from me but it's on the grounds of a still in use mansion and it's generally locked and I'm 85% sure it's alarmed. There was an open door once though and I got in and got a picture of an electric chair 
This was when I just started learning how to do photography so it's not very good and I was with my class at the time and had to leave. I saw a door at the back of the room though and I've been dying to go back since but probable alarm.

I can certainly see why this place is abandoned. Who could ever afford the lease to this place?! Such a fine capture of this classic ornate structure, I am truly envious of whoever scrapes up the cash to move in! Remarkable and congratulations!
