Fabulous!! : D Don't be afraid to bring back the darks and deepen the shading after doing your highlights to emphasize the scales!Β

A quick lil edit β₯ Snake markings aren't smooth lines and follows the textures of the scales. After the basic highlights(basically only highlighting the top-most scales to give texture) I put my brush on color dodge and pushed the color on the light-affected areas. After that I color selected black and set my brush to overlay and did light light strokesΒ to deepen the colors. On the face I just used the normal brush with the dark brown and touched up the black marking on the face since it turned grey. Hopefully that helps! β₯β₯

TYSM, I have a few more questions:
What color did you use for highlights? A pale yellow?
What brush did you use?
Side note: i use medibang so not everything is the greatest :')

Of course! I hope I'm not being too intrusive with my edits and such! : o I just such at explaining :'D
I just color picked the brown that was already on the nose! The brush opacity set to around 15%(it can be adjusted depending on the area you're working on).
The brush i use is the standard and default round brush!Β
