PROFESSOR DONALD H. LAMBERT - THE TIME TRAVELER (THE TIME MACHINE)
While Professor Lambert was born in the mid 1800’s he has been living in the far future in the 802nd century. A time after man came close to wiping himself out and the survivors of the human race are called Eloi and are kept and farmed by a race of creatures called Morlocks.
On Lambert’s arrival in this time period, he was quick to anger at what he saw. That man had stopped learning and would no longer push the boundaries of his knowledge, for all his curiosity was gone. They wanted for nothing.
For a man such a Lambert this was a horror beyond his imagination. That man no longer looked to the stars with yearning nor wanted to know why he of all creatures were given the gift of inquiry.
Yet quickly he discovered things were not as it seemed. Donald met and saved the woman who would become his wife, Weena. He learnt that the Morlock’s were descendants of man. While the Eloi were vegetarians, the Morlocks were carnivores and their taste for meat extended to the Eloi who they farmed like cattle. He presumed that the Morlocks evolved from man over the years and that they were simply affected by radiation and from generations of living underground. The truth he would later find out went back further that he could have imagined, before even he was born.
For several years now, Lambert has made this future Earth his home. He has discovered other life forms that have evolved over the years, many from animals who live close to a giant red crystal mountain that reaches up past the clouds.
Donald and Weena have three children. Their life seems idyllic, but something is happening that will send him tumbling back through time looking for help as his world faces a threat beyond anything he has trained the Eloi to stand against.
