This is a picture of frustration.This is an 'I CAN'T DRAW!' picture.
Blood Fairy
She's a creature of the night
The size of a fly
She gets you when you're asleep
Landing gently onto you
Piercing you with her razor-sharp tip
Resting her wings onto your skin
Then feeding on your blood
When she's done
She flaps her wings
Showers you with specks of your blood
Then she's gone
They say she's a myth....
One and a half hours spent hating my art, drinking too much and throwing food colouring, ink and water on the paper using a toothbrush, a paintbrush and a hairdryer whilst listening to 'The Fragile' by nine Inch Nails

LIke gritty and dark, two of the best bed buddies around. Faces at the bottom remind me a bit of Nightmare befor XMas kind of thing. But kool nonetheless.

One of your best. The wings are the same as the frame, giving it a really dark and serious feeling, like you're sucked into it. On the other hand are the faces on the bottom very surprising. The blood just finishes the scary atmosphere. And the poem is amazing

I know that I tend to produce my best work when I'm wallowing in self-doubt. Irregardless, you should know that you ARE good.. and very talented. I love the work that you've done here, the red retains it's intensity quite well. When you mixed red and blue in your previous work, the purple looked too muted to go with the tone of the painting. It's one of the reasons I tend to use watercolours rather than coloured ink or food colouring, the gum arabic in it makes the colour adhese well to the paper and looks fresher.
This reminds me of a bizarre giant moth that looked like an inbred bat which had clung on to me a few days ago in school. It was terrifying at first but then I whispered sweet nothings into it's...... head, and it fluttered off. Now I have a scab where it's legs clung on to me. Blood sucking freak.

No this is great! She peirces the skin to get to the blood she needs underneath. The red around her but not touching her just brings her into sharper focus. I love the use of red with black and white, it's always a standout. Keep on!
