Maybe it's because the muted tones display a new-found maturity in your style. And the black-eyed angels..
I completely relate to the feeling of being bound in a society that regards affiliations with certain groups as one's identity. It's not always something as blatant as the Hell's Angels.. well.. it's still moronic. And the tragic thing is (as I've come to learn time and time again), if you want to break away from a certain individual(s), it usually means breaking from the entire group. Ahhhh I'm rambling.. nice to see something from you again.

That kids smile give me the creeps! I think it's a very powerful drawing, very expressive, and i really like the colors yellow and blue. You don't use them very often, i like it a lot!
