Exactly why they and Space Marines (my faves) don't always see eye to eye. Most of the time the Space Marine is superior which is why I like 'em.

No psykers within the Adepta Sororitas. In fact, these zealots would rather like to burn any "psy-witch" they meet, be him sanctioned or not.
Anyhow: Great artwork.
I especially like her bringing the banner. It looks like she's symbolically bringing the Light of the Emperor into that place. And this impression is made even stronger thanks to the lighting in the picture.

XD She's not a female space marine. She's Adeptus Sororitas. Sister of Battle. She lacks the superhuman qualities of a Space Marine. But they're usually much more zealous and often are psykers.
And they're a crazy, crazy bunch.
BUT this is a BEAUTIFUL picture! I'm a Chaos girl, but damn Nurgle is ick.... I love her expression, as well, determined to end the taint or die trying. Beautiful.

They are not psykers per se. Rather, utterly bizarre "miracles" have an extreme tendency to occur around them, fueled by the power of pure prayer and zeal alone. This makes them especially potent against chaos. Contrary to popular fanon (in which a sister falls to slaanesh every two seconds), by all rights in canon, the extremism of a sister proofs to make them about as tasteless to daemons as that of a Tau.
For it is the zealous character in a 40k story who typically wards off daemonic influence, independent of psychic potential (ie. mere civilians have banished daemons through pure conviction in the Emperor). And none possess more of this quality than the sisters.
So, technically not psychic. Technically not immune to daemons. Yet somehow, weird crap nonetheless happens to them, and there's a 99.999% chance that any corruption attempt upon her will epically fail (as to say, an 80% chance on a marine, or 60% on your typical guardsmen).
All because of normal, everyday prayer. Jacked up to eleven.
For without faith, they'd be nothing more than guardsmen in power armor. And who'd be interested in an army that's simply that?
