I believe in adaptation, change units according to mission. If you're facing zerg, go for aiur zealot, if you're facing terran or protoss, go for centurion

Actually, Dragoons are a better choice on The Host, considering when fully upgraded, they can withstand the void shards' corruption powers... and with sufficient numbers they can pummel the shards with Vanguard assist. Jayborino used Dragoons in his Brutal playthrough. And considering most of the enemies in Brutal are armored, Dragoons can be used as a powerful force especially when paired with Vanguards. Energizers can easily solve the Dragoons' DPS woes while Havocs can easily make Dragoon's range and damage even more broken.
So agreed with the adept. I don't really get why my brother chose those over the dragoon or stalker.
Corsair wins, hands down. There are multiple massive units and too many of them for the Phoenixes to deal with. You can just cast Disruption Web.
I find Wrathwalkers redundant when there are the Dragoon and Void Ray to deal with limited number of high health targets.

I love Jayborino commentaries because he take a deep look on the story/ characters/ lore of the official/custom campaigns, plus he is not annoying fuck alwais trying to be funny... But i find his micro only average and his macro/multitasking horrifying, years and years of commentaries and he still has thousands of resources on bank while being supply blocked ... The good think about LotV tech is that it is very versatile and enable you to choose from a great amount of builds... I watched Jay's brutal video, he had to use two spells to nuke down a void shard while using dragoons... I think that dragoons/stalkers/adepts are almost pointless on later missions, i used a lot of vanguards and colossi to nuke down the first shard while using the time stop only.
I disagree with the energizer argument, because if they can turn dragoons into acceptable DPS units, they can also turn stalkers into goddamn machine guns.
I honestly love dragoons, but stalkers are just more agile and flexible on my eyes, superior to dragoons even on the durability factor because of blink; but if you want to do a solid frontline ranged force, dragoons are very durable, especially when under heavy aoe fire, as i said on my lotv tech pic.
The Adept i think made into the campaign as a guest star, it belong to the trash tier, with her friend diamondback for example
Wrathwalkers on few numbers are really incredible to take down high armor/HP targets but yeah, they are sort of weak because of the single target damage, to use only if you know what you are doing

While i agree with your comment about Sentinals and their Ressurection ability on Brutal (still havent played yet), i still prefer Centurions with their stun. The reason is that it allows your other units to do more damage to the enemy. I also prefer Annihilators more than Immortals, just as i prefer Wrathwalkers over Collossus, because my playstyle can be explained as 'Concentrated assault'. I like to attack nonstop with powerful units and obliterate the enemies. So badically my army composition is
1) Centurion
2)Dragoon
3)Annihilator
4) Avenger
5) Energiser/Havok
6)Mirage, later Corsair, because i realised their suuport potential. At first cinsideredbthem useless.
7) Dark Archon
8)Nerazim Void Ray. Loved this unit since WoL
9)Wrathwalker
10) Carrier

I see you like burst/pure damage over survivability, but on brutal survivability will play a bigger role, that's why Sentinels are the best tier 1 meelee pick, the combo seems pretty good, i only see a lack of Splash damage, that on later missions will play a big role, i don't think that crowd control can surpass AoE on brutal (I think that Ascendants are way better of dark archons, plus they don't cost a shitton of resources)
My combo would be like thatΒ

Stalker (High Mobility DPS)
Vanguard (Burst AoE damage artillery)
Avenger (Solid Frontliner dps)
Energizer (DPS Buff)
Corsair (Field control Support)
Ascendant (DPS MONSTER)
