Description Another one of the breathtaking Katie Mcgrath. I just can't get enough of drawing her, it seems. I was looking through Google images, and this stood out to me as very... artistic, for lack of a better word. I feel better about the softness of her skintone than previous attempts; not perfect, but better. Tips, anyone?

My computer ate the reference again, but it was from the Sven Arnstein shoot and is not mine. This was drawn with 2H - 8B pencils on 9x12 paper.

Beautiful portrait! The only tip I can think of is maybe add a little more midtone shading to the face to give it more contour.

I call this simply amazing... this is so gorgeous, her eyes.. wow. Almost like she is daydreaming, I love it.

Do you use q-tips for skin tones ? Those may help smooth everything out. If that's what you are looking for.

Very welcome.

I used them for hours on my Dark Shadows piece to bring out the bone structure since the skin tones were so soft. For darker tones I use stumps.
