I never want to draw someone this close up again.
Anything bigger than life size is an absolute pain; you have to keep standing back to make sure you haven't got anything in the wrong place (and I'm still not sure about the lips...). And the HAIR! It seems like I had to draw every. Single. One. Whew! This is a 9x12 drawn with 2H - 8B pencils. The ref is not mine. [link]

About her lips; comparing them to the reference pic, maybe the bottom left side of the lower lip could be slightly thinned down?

That is amazing! I know what you mean. I hate drawing hair, because it seams to take forever, but that picture looks so realistic. It is amazing. I could easily mistake it for a photo.

Why, thank you! A mix of the cheapest stuff I can find at Michael's (sometimes just regular yellow pencils to start with). Though I do love the Staedler 8B; that thing gets darker than charcoal.
