Description
This character might need a little bit of explaining, since most of you watching me probably don't know who he is.My brother, drew Ranxerox recently, so check his out!
Conceived as a bizarre anti-hero, Ranxerox was a mechanical creature made from Xerox photocopier parts, and was created by Italian comic artists, Stefano Tamburini and Tanino Liberatore in the late 70s or early 80s.
The Ranxerox comics were pretty grotesque, and the character of Ranx himself was a pretty despicable one. But the comics appeal to me because of the great art style they were drawn in. Some of the fight scenes in the comics are absolutely amazing.
His first appearances were in the magazine known as Heavy Metal, which was created by a french artist known as Moebius, and now owned by Kevin Eastman, Co-creator of TMNT.

I miss him. Especially the transistor radio nipple knobs.

Yeah, really wish Liberatore would give him a comeback someday. I mean, Ranx is a complete douche, but it's such a great comic, haha.Β

He is quite obscure compared to comic characters nowadays.

Unfortunately, yes. I wish they were more well known, they're so much more interesting than all the popular characters!

Great graphic style. I still say Ranxerox looks like Jim McMahon, Chicago Bears quarterback in the 80s.

I remember that guy from my days of reading HM back in the 80s - nice job! The expression on his face is perfect.

The shading style and colors worked really well in this one, especially with the halftone pattern in the background. Great job!
