I'm admittedly not a huge Star Wars junkie, but I rewatched the original trilogy for the first time in at least 15 years recently in preparation for watching The Force Awakens last month or so, and rekindled my appreciation for at least A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. TFA is a thoroughly enjoyable film, though not terribly inventive. That being said, it was what the series needed after the shitstorm that was the prequels.Anyway, liked Rey a lot, as everyone else did, and after watching the good movies in the Star Wars spectrum, wanted to take a shot at drawing my top 5 characters from the series from a purely character design standpoint. Expect more soon! Just not any from the prequels!

Not a fan of the character in the least due to her unabashed Mary-Sue nature...but your style is on point and the accuracy in portrayal of yet another character continues to impress me.

I did not like her either. In my opinion she was just an uninteresting and flat charakter. But the movie was carryed entirely by Han Solo and Nostalgia anyways.

Gotta be honest here: I felt nothing when Han Solo was offed. The movie made me *that* emotionally UN-invested.

She does have some tendencies that lean toward being Mary-Sue-ish (mostly because of what she does and how, rather than her dialogue and other traits) , but she at least has an appealing personality that I think drove the character well. I definitely think she's stronger as a character within a group, like when she's with Finn and BB-8.

It's definitely grown on me a bit lately. As for the new one, It's a very fun and well-made theater movie, but not terribly inventive or innovative, so I do have my reservations about it, but I still liked it a lot.
