I came up with this retelling of Snake Eyes in the form of a In Universe record. Thoughts?

This is a much better design for him and helps to contrast him with Storm Shadow.
He is a ninja who was cast out and became a soldier, Storm Shadow isn't. So it makes sense that they would take on different looks, with one staying traditional while Snake took on army equipment.

It just serves to fuel the ninja fad that was popular in the mid 80s. Still a cool design on its own, but I've always preferred his original, more utilitarian look.

it's true.... ninjas were all the rage in the 80s. The only problem is, when everyone is a ninja, it makes it far less special.

The only time I'd say it works better in large groups is stuff like TMNT, where it's that combo of cool and dorky, a bit aware of how it's molded by those trends. When Gi Joe was more militaristic, it always looked cooler to me, a bit more grounded.

I gave her a pretty standard looking assault rifle of sorts, mostly just picked and chose details from different machine guns. Added a crossbow attachment onto it since that was the original weapon her figure came with.

Ha, the original figure was molded in a purely black plastic, so distinguishing details on him was probably difficult.

Yeah, they're 2 characters from Hasbro's GI Joe. Had a cartoon in the 80s, but I went more toward the toys myself.
