Wanderstep flustered a bit with embarrassment from Sandflowers comment. "Oh thank you~" She dipped her head respectfully. "You have a pretty name too~"

Inkblaze squeezed out of the warriors' den, rough and damp sand scratching at his belly. He lifted his chin up, smelling and feeling the cool ocean breeze as it danced past his whiskers. Leaf-bare is coming.. He thought to himself, scrabbling the rest of his body out of the den. As the dark tom stretched his limbs, he purred proudly, knowing he would never spend another moon in the apprentices' den.
He twitched his tail and looked around, seeing only a few other cats in the clearing. He nodded to himself and decided to take a morning run to stretch his legs before patrols started. He began to trot over to the rocky wall, leaping up onto a boulder that led to a secret exit/entrance.

Wanderstep was wandering on the beach boringly. She felt somehow different. She looked at her hair curl, and put her paw on it. She did like how it swirled, but she covered her right eye now. Did that somehow..ish represent her shyness around strangers? Meh, who knew. She glomped the sand and rolled in it, purring. Wanderstep perked her ears. It's a bit to quiet. She narrowed her eyes. She looked at the nursery, seeing the kits jump around. Oh...nevermind.

As the dark tom stood up near the entrance, about to go out, he glanced around. His heart skipped a beat when he spotted Wanderstep alone on the shore in the camp, facing the ocean. He longed to go over, but for some reason his muscles locked in place.
I wonder if she even wants to see me.. after what happened.. He thought to himself. I've been acting like a real jerk.. He sighed softly to himself and eventually managed to move, leaping back down from the boulder onto the sand below. He began to cautiously walk toward the dark she-cat.

Wanderstep was oblivious of the dark tom approaching her. She then began to hum softly, enjoying the ocean breeze, and how the water gently tapped her front legs. She smiled calmly, and lifted her head a bit up, so the wind can go on her neck. She flicked her tail and moved it her her side.

Inkblaze stopped briefly, seeing her lift her head, and he curled his tail slightly. He curled his lip in confusion, not knowing if it was a sign that she'd seen him or not. When Wanderstep didn't say anything to acknowledge his presence, he decided to break the silence.
He cleared his throat softly, "Ahem.." And stepped lightly closer to her. "What have you been up to for the past few days? Haven't seen ya' around." He mumbled cautiously, still not knowing if she was still annoyed with him. He stayed there, standing, waiting for a subtle hint that he could sit down with her.

Her fur jumped, hearing a familiar tom's voice. Inkblaze, her grumpy best friend. She giggled lightly. "I was out on patrols, hunting and swimming~" She looked at him wide-eyed. "Need something?"

Inkblaze hesitated for a moment at the question, and then shook his head. "Need? No.. I don't need anything... I've just.. missed you, that's all." He choked the 'I missed you' part out, the words fighting against coming out. He casually flopped down beside her, his long fur mixing with the sand beneath him.
He stayed there in silence with her for another few moments before mumbling. "So.. um.. you're not still.. you know.. about what happened... right?" He was staring at the ground in front of him, his cheeks flushing a slight pink. He absolutely HATED talking about these kinds of things, it just didn't come naturally to him. He didn't know if it ever would.

Wanderstep felt a hint of pink dust her cheeks when he said he 'missed her'. After he changed the topic, she blinked lightly. "I don't hold grudges, I completely forgotten about it~" She gave a light chuckle to her friend. Wanderstep sat up and looked up at Inkblaze.

The dark warrior blinked at her and then looked away, blushing lightly as he muttered "Good."
He then glanced back at her and began to groom her dark grey curled tuft, mumbling "You've got some sand just there." His gaze softened and as he shared tongues with her, he meowed quietly, "What would you say to another trip to the Offshore Island tonight..? I've got something I want to ask of you."

"I'd love to go there~" She smiled. She the blinked and partly sulked. "Also, I was wondering...c-could you teach me how t-t-to...swim..tomorrow..?" She flustered embarrassedly. What warrior didn't know how to swim?

Inkblaze blinked and then nodded, mumbling "Sure.. why not?" He caught himself smiling and then quickly shook his head, adding, "I-I mean.. if you really want to." He inwardly cursed.. he liked having her ride on his back when they went swimming. "Anyways.. how about we ask Tigershark if we can be on the same patrol? Then, tonight, we can go to the Offshore Island. At least this time we won't have to worry about pesky warriors catching us."

She gave a nod. "I like the sound of the idea~" She added persistently. She stood up onto her feet, looking up at Inkblaze with a cheerful smile. [I'msorryveryshortXD.]

Inkblaze nodded and gazed at her smile for a few moments more before turning and telling Tigershark that he was joining Wanderstep's patrol - not asking, but telling. The knowing look on Tigershark's face irritated him but he shook it off with a lash of his tail. He and Wanderstep patrolled the shores and borders together that afternoon, walking side by side a few paces behind the rest of the patrol.
By the time they returned back to camp, the sun was beginning to dip behind the horizon, the moon rising into the leaf-bare sky. Inkblaze gazed up at it, sitting on the beach at the edge of camp. He briefly glanced over his shoulder, wondering where the dark grey she-cat was.

Wanderstep padded to where they were told to meet up. She purred, happy that she got to spend more time with her friend. She spotted the dark tom and gave a little wave, power walking over to him.
Inkblaze smiled very faintly in relief, seeing her pad up to him. "That's alright.. that Mistpaw is a piece of work though, I don't know how you can put up with her." He teased in reply, smiling and looking up at the moon again. When he felt her sit beside him, he very slowly put his tail around her asking softly "Are you cold..?" He felt a biting cold breeze blow through camp, and his thick spiky fur protected him - but he wasn't so sure about Wanderstep.
He had been contemplating all day about what he wanted to say to her and he was a tad anxious, but he didn't dare let it show.

Wanderstep laughed. "She's my sister~ I have to cope with her~" Wanderstep looked at the moon and smiled. As soon as Inkblaze asked the question, he felt the breeze rush onto her fur gently. "K-kinda.." She shivered, staring down at her paws.

At her response, Inkblaze gently scooted a few whisker-lengths closer, his fluffy fur brushing against her short fur. He wrapped his tail around her more, feeling her shivering. "So you know when I said I wanted to ask you something..?"
He glanced down at her briefly before looking back up at the moon quickly.

She blushed lightly, then looked over to him. "Y-yeah..?" As she blinked, her long eyelashes fluttered. Wanderstep felt the warmth of Inkblaze's long fur bristle onto hers. She gave a little nervous smiled, and perked her ears, ready to listen.

Inkblaze took in a breath of cold salty air and then sighed it out, his cheeks flushing a slight shade of pink as he finally let the question slip from his tongue.
"What.. are we.. exactly?" He turned his head to look down at her. Were they mates? Were they together? Were they.. just friends..? He didn't know.. but something in his cold heart made him want to find out. He hoped she would understand what he was asking. His icy blue gaze conveyed a genuine look of curiosity and emotion. He flattened his ears slightly, anxious to know what the answer was.

It took a moment for the question to go through her ears. She then flustered to a light shade of red. She fluttered her eyes and looked down. "W-w-well...do you w-w-want us to be so-something..aside from b-b-being friends..?" She looked back up at Inkblaze.

"Don't you think we are..?" He pressed anxiously, his bristly fur pricking a bit around his shoulders. He had realized that his heart beats more manically around her, that his cheeks turned pink at the sound of her voice, and that.. he didn't want to actively spend time with anyone else but her.
He had also realized that the only thing that he was truly afraid of was that she might possibly not feel the same about him. "L-Look.. Wanderstep.." He began, lowering his head slightly, "I'm not usually one to be all mushy or touchy-feely, but.. y'know.. I don't.. feel the same way about you as I do other cats that I know.. I.." He swallowed his nervousness slightly before continuing, "What I mean is.. I feel more about you than I do for anyone else.. do you get what I'm trying to say..?" He stared nervously at the sand beneath their paws.

The tabby only blushed more. It was ironic, she felt different with Inkblaze compared to any other cat. Her heart would thump, her cheeks would grow warm...could this be...love? Wanderstep remained quiet but, she smiled and began to faintly purr. "T-the funny thing is, my heart usually thumps and my cheeks are super warm. I-is it normal? For a cat to feel warm around another...?" Maybe Coconutsplash, her sister felt like this when she became mates with Lynxspark. Or maybe her mother too. She gently leaned her head onto his arm and continued to smile.

Inkblaze went a bit pinker as he felt her lean against him and he nodded, adding a cheeky response, "Who knows.. maybe we're just weirdos." He chuckled softly and let her rest her weight against him and he put his fluffy tail over hers gently. "I mean.. I just.." He tried to begin speaking again but he found that the words simply escaped him.
"At first when I met you I thought you didn't like me and it made me sad.. but then we began to spend more and more time with each other and I found that.. I.. I wanted to spend more time with just you. You specifically." He uttered, his cheeks and ears starting to burn a faint shade of red. Inkblaze speaking this much was unusual, but her comment had made him more confident and he continued, "Wanderstep.. c-can I tell you something..?" He asked, almost in a whisper.

Her purr become more louder when she heard his words, along with her smile growing larger. "My ears are open~" She chuckled in response, again looking back up at the tom. She watched his cheeks turn read and she giggled.

"I-I.." He began, swallowing his nervousness again. "Wanderstep.. I think I love you." He said in a faint whisper, making himself look down at the she-cat with his pretty dark blue eyes. He flattened his ears against his body, his entire form focused on her answer.

Widening her eyes, she stared at the tom. Looking back down, she stared at his paws then back up at him. Why did she feel tear all of a sudden too? Blinking more times, her heart beat just become louder and louder. Could she feel the same way like he did for her. "I-I-I-...." Stuttering, she paused, trying to form the words from her mouth. "I-I-I-I love y-y-you too.."

Inkblaze's heart skipped in his chest upon hearing that, and he leaned forward and licked her cheek, then her ear, then he pressed his nose against hers. He had never felt so overjoyed in his life. His warrior ceremony didn't even come close to this moment.
He actually gave a soft smile and then pressed against her more, still licking her cheek, ear, and neck fur. "I-I'm so happy, Wanderstep.." He mumbled very softly. "I don't know what to say.. that's a first."

She laughed lightly. "Same here~" She closed her ears, feeling Inkblaze licking her fur. Wanderstep placed her tail over Inkblaze's lightly.

Inkblaze's heart pounded in his chest and he continued to gently nuzzle her cheek and neck, before ruffling her curled tuft playfully. He smiled and looked down at her, touching noses with her once more.
This all felt so new to him, but.. he wouldn't have it any other way.

As they tapped noses, she licked his muzzle gently. She stared at his hair, playfully pawing it. "Your tuft never changed." She laughed. Standing on her two paws, she lifted herself up and licked his head.

Sleepynight yawned as he was soon walking the border, he mumbled something. He did like his new name after being named Sagekit, but he had this hurt. His only friend Wanderkit was left and he never got to tell her that she was his only friend and the best he ever had. He sighed as he somehow made his way to Seaclan border the hurt got a bit worse wondering how one of his friends was doing, Was she a warrior now? was she as pretty as she was before? of course as a friend way.

Wanderpaw [Very close to being -step |D.] stumbled amoung Nightclan territory. She decided to go for a long walk. She wanted to erase what happened with her and Inkpaw. She never acted like that to any tom. She flustered just thinking about it. She padded a bit faster than before then tripped over a rock. "Ouch.."

The Black tom heard a voice, he flinched as it was coming towards Seaclan border. "h-hello?" he asked slightly loud, his voice hadn't changed that much just a cute deeper voice. He crouched down as he was going to pounce whoever came out through the border, at the same time he didn't want too.

Wanderpaw lifted herselfup, and flinced when she heard a voice. "Who's there?" She frowned, unsheathing her claws quickly. She gave a light hiss, and her grey eyes scanned her surroundings.

Sleepynight barely saw the figure as he could see who it was, he knew those pretty grey eyes. "Wanderk-kit?" he murmured slightly standing up trying to get s better look at the dark grey she-cat.

Wanderpaw was confused. How did he know her name? Well, kit name. She couldn't see the warrior properly and tried to get closer. "Who are you..and how do you know my kit name...?"

He had a quick thought, if e wanted her to know her even after he found out it was her. "it's me Sagekit.... Well Sleepynight now" he stated getting closer

She blinked and then put her paw over her mouth in shock. "S-s...sagekit...?" She gave still a shocked expression. Her lips curled and pouted. "I missed you!" She pounced on the tom, glomping him.

The tom slightly fell over he laughed as his friend glomped onto him. "be careful Wander" he stated playfully pawing at her face

"I missed you so much.." She looked at him face to face. "Where were you all this time?" She sniffed.

"well... I was in Highclan....then I left I believe.... I was in the forest for awhile then I found nightclan, joined them and became a warrior not long ago..." he stated nuzzling his friends cheek

She purred and realised. "Oh, I'm sorry hehe.." She hopped off him and held out a paw.
