I was basing it off of Regency Britain so yes it is European. XD I'm glad you like it!

Although I did a google search about the United states during that time (regency era in Britian is from 1811-1820), annnnnnd that's the time of the revolutionary war (1810-1811), and then the US went into an economical depression that lasted into 1839. Oh the things that I never learned in a history class. XD

Actually the couple you think is Ami and Zoicite, is actually Michiru and Haruka. Ami and Zoicite will get their own Jane Austen couple picture in the upcoming projects (as will Rei & Jadite, Mina & Kunzite, and Chibiusa & Helios). Also the girl who's cut off is Setsuna. XD I have no clue who she's dancing with. Maybe a gender bent queen serenity?

I'm a bit surprised you didn't go with a black gown for Setsuna though... I was thinking "red," hence Rei, lol. And LOL, what's with everyone pairing her up with Queen Serenity? I mean, I'm not against it or anything, but it's just a little...strange, for me.

Lol, it's quite alright.

I didnt give setsuna a black gown due to regency time, women would wear dark colors....but not black (unless they were mourning a death of a loved one). So I opted for a maroon red (darker red) dress. ;

As for the shipping of Queen Serenity and Setsuna, I think people tend to ship them together because Pluto's main interaction/contact would have been with Queen Serenity, and maybe the outer scouts. So.....Setsuna would have had a closer relationship with Queen Serenity...supposedly. XD

no offense, but Naoko didn't created naru with neph. the writers, director of the animation did,  in the old anime, he is way to old for this little girl.  nephrite didn't really care or felt love whether its from a little sis, or friend kind of love that made him a change of heart. about naru in the original creation of Naoko. and i think its more of a friendship in the 90's made by the animation for fillers. i didn't took it seriously way back 93, when i saw it. cause i was more excited about Jupiter, along with a bunch of my classmates. cause she was not in control of the anime before, as read from the interview, and wanted to remake her work, and her husband also wanted a remake of his anime. not to worry, Naoko has more in control of crystal now. she even is the one who is choosing for the english dub voice actors.. she supported the shittenou/senshi, that's why its in the crystal now, before turning to stone like in the original. and rei never dated mamoru, kunzite/zoicite is not lovers. and not gay. Kunzite was the favorite of Naoko to be with venus. and a lot lot more, like the 3 stars or something (i just read that comment somewhere and researched Naoko's interview myself and it is proven, its true though, the old man and the guys in the anime production has more power than her, even though its her creation, she didn't said it directly as not to offend the one who made her well known, but its a huge hint where she wanted a remake cause she was also not happy how her original work was not shown) lol. i support the original now... since Naoko supported the shitennou/senshi, when i saw episode 5 arc, arc 10 i was wow suddenly into the shitennou/senshi, like i am back from being a high school student when i saw it. i don't even care about the shitennou before. like i really don't. and i never see a reason for a one art before, so i also don't like the pairing before, i only love Jupiter, and the other scouts( but more addicted to jupiter like super in the 90's) okay, i don't care about the pairings before, and find it boring, and i don't support the manga before, when i was a kid, (but now, i am a converted fan) i was confused why the story was so different when i was 8-9 yrs old at 1993-94 even when i have the old manga with me since 93. but i did understand the differences afterwards as explain by my uncle who is into anime at that time around those same year. honestly though, i think the reason for a remake was because this really really so far from the original story of sailor moon. unlike dbz, yuyuhakusho,ran1/2 etc since i also have those old mangas with me. mostly follows the plot of the story of the manga and to the main protagonist and main characters plot, and some few changes, and just added something that can never be edited on the manga, they lessen unimportant stuff too as well like the extra main supporting, not in the anime, cause they focused more to the protagonist, and main characters, etc. and those creator, mostly anyway, their request and original story was listened too, unlike Naoko, where most of her request was denied in the 90's sailor moon and that's why it was totally totally different but also follows a few story line of it.
 i am glad that in the crystal. they are not that old for the senshi, especially Mamoru for Usagi. like i don't think its good to see a pedo on a lose. and influence little preteen girls. lol. so yeah! i really love these pairings now. i used to cross over Jupiter before with someone else, at least now. i know in some way, Naoko used to plan on doing something about the shitennou/senshi. but never reach the deadline. so i am guessing why its in the crystal now. oh wow! i wrote a lot of stuff. haha... my apologies.i really get carried away and sharing my thoughts of excitement, that i now like the shitennou/senshi. crystal really caught my attention, and some characters that i don't used to like are more tolerable now for me. hehe and the fact that Naoko likes the shitennou/senshi has made me so into sailor moon again( more like sailor moon crystal). i did like the old anime sailor moon, since its my childhood, but i also dislike a lot of stuff too in some episodes, even if its sailor moon super, star,etc. i think i just wanted to see Jupiter, haha. and then i also happen to love the new crystal now as well, but i also have something that i don't fancy at all. like i miss her old japanese voice, her reddish brown hair, not orange red even in the manga that's why i dont fancy the manga before, but of course i do like it now(but that is just me, but i still love her no matter what a few changes to her hair, as long as its red, brown,or brownish reddish hair on her, i wouldnt mind and, as long as its jupiter, i am willing to learn to adopt), and etc.... i think i will wait and see as the episode progress... but so far, i love the shitennou/senshi moments in crystal, i don't care if they turn to stone, at least they are all still alive and besides, that's what happen in the manga. Naoko is the one who made it happen, a few changes from the original manga, is so fine with me, i understand that they can't edit the manga anymore cause its been like made many years ago, and printed all over the world now, but at least it still follows the story line of the manga, hehe. THANK YOU SO MUCH NAOKO, and to the publisher of Sailor moon manga, who is involved more in crystal.  haha, they just converted me to love shitennou/senshi. 
also i love jupiter a lot since 93-98 as in obsessed, though i lost interest on anime for a long time, i know she will always be my favorite childhood anime character, along with a lot of my batch mate, sorry to say, they are not into anime anymore. and after a few years, i am suddenly recalling all my favorite child hood fave when i checked my old sailor moon stuffs that remains, cause most of my stuff on sailor moon are gone, and i know i still love her, and wanting to feel that nostalgia feeling mood about my past favorite characters, not just sailor moon, but my other favorite anime characters. that's why when my friend told me about deviant art, and fanfics, i begin to make one and got hooked. until i heard the news that they will remake sailor moon, i was curious and waited about a few years, so here i am, hehe... 
 if they only know, that Jupiter has many fans, well next to Moon, and Venus. that Japan didn't know of, because internet was just emerging. unlike as of today, everyone can used it.
 sorry for sharing too much details about my love for Jupiter, i just like being chatty, writing, lol. as i seldom write this long when i am not so much into it and not that excited, i guess i am due to i write this long, haha, and i like making new fellow friends who share the same interest.. i hope you didn't mind me sharing Naoko's interview and what i researched to know as well,and what i read on her interviews so far.

so, sorry, i forgot to share this info as well, i know its super long, but i can't stop... i am glad that in the crystal. they are not that old for the senshi, especially Mamoru for Usagi cause Mamoru was already in the university age 19 in the old sailor moon, but in the manga original and crystal, he is only 17. in the old anime, that Naoko never scripted, directed, where nephrite never met jupiter and he is like 21-22 since Mamoru is 19-20. like i don't think its good to see a pedo on a lose, good thing in the original they turned into stone. and for Minako's sake with Kunzite, i would honesty say that yes, its better they turned into stone. and wait for the inner senshi to mature again(besides, they even turned 16 year old), like in the silver millenium,(like who knows how old they were back then, but it never was stated). in my opinion though,(reality) if a girl reach the age 19-20, it doesn't matter how a few, or a couple of years, or a huge ages of gap difference (like huge as in 16-20 years or more, but i don't think i want that) you have with you spouse.  as long as you are NOT a preteen who goes out with a 20 plus year old or older. that is if you don't want to become a pedo. and before they influence little preteen girls, (now i wonder about the old man in Naoko's interview about the 90's anime) and i think you can't compare the 90's anime to the crystal- with their age cause if Nephrite was already 21-22 in the old 90's anime. you can't say Nephrite was 19 in the old 90's anime. when Mamoru is 19 or 20 in the old anime. although the senshi remains 14. and so, if mamoru is a 17 yr old high school student, Nephrite 19, zoicite-16-17, jadeite 18, Kunzite25 ( if Minako is only 14, again good thing they all died before revived and turned into stone. maybe in silver millenium, she was not 14 when they were lovers, or maybe even eternal or something, although i don't find 10-11 years a long age gap if you are in your a female in your 20's cause i know a lot of parents who has a 10 year age gap differences and the male is usually the older one) in the original and in the crystal, but in the old anime if Mamoru is 19-20 in a university... meaning? the shitennou are in their 20's. no wonder the inners was not involved with the shitennou in the 90's anime if they are only 14. cause that would be just too much.seriously, its a totally different plot in crystal/manga to 90's sailormoon. Venus should consider herself lucky, cause naoko likes kunzite/venus. , and yeah! they are past lovers, which is totally different from, a normal human since they could be also eternal like sailor moon. all Kunzite have to do is wait for venus to grow older, while he is still a stone. as they all never might age anyway.except the ordinary mere people. and again, there is no age similarities between the old sailor moon 90's to the new sailor moon crystal/manga. also can't be compared, because Kunzite and Zoicite seems to be in a relationship in the old anime. but in the original. they are not, kunzite had interaction with Venus in the manga.. so meaning in the original! as in original- Naoko created. nephrite never really get involved with anyone but Jupiter, whom the only girl he took special interest from when he took all the groom-soon to be husband, so why Makoto? she is not the only one who has that level of energy, Usagi and ami was there too, Makoto never worn the wedding dress, unlike naru, so why is it, its Makoto was the only target for a female. also why would Neprhite even know Motoki or that Makoto somehow reminds her of her old sempai, how would nephrite or the mannequin that he controls would know that?, when he has a girlfriend reika, and was not even engage yet. that could only mean one thing my friend, - super giddy!  Neprhite unconsciously took special interest on Makoto. there are so many hints in there about their past, if you understand and loves Jupiter. and a lot lot more... but i think i wrote a lot already. as much as i wanted to share more hints, and gosh the way he remember a few bits about Jupiter's look... i really felt giddy at that time. like i am back from high school again, haha.. and why does the mannequin throws that black flower petal? just like Jupiter flower hurricane? oh geez... why is so affected, and can't move? then how come he disappears after Jupiter destroyed the mannequin... yeah, i know Jupiter killed him in the manga, just like how mars killed jadeite. but they become a stone and was revived anyway, technically, still alive and adviser of mamoru. lol...  its not like Nephrite successfully did the mission right in episode 4, he failed the mission on that episode in the masquerade ball with princess d. who he pretends to be a female body guard. so why is he beyond pissed that Jupiter believes in love? even at arc 6, i thought he only targets the grooms, and kidnaps them lol. and when she becomes a scout, destroyed the mannequin, his excuse not to be able to move, when he can disappear from that spot. i wonder if he is nervous about getting killed, nervous about something from the past feeling at the end of the silver millenium, nervous that he felt something for Jupiter when he looks at her? his convincing not to believe in love anymore, and this is where he fails . when she begin to believe in love or could it be all of the above, and he can't accept that feeling? cause he seems to be pissed about the topic about love, and cant stop thinking about jupiter in episode 6, that she defeated him, or for making him feel something he cant explain? since its about love they are arguing about. lol,  he can't seem get over her or something, hehehe...gosh, i love the look he gave Jupiter... when he seems to recalls that look somewhere, somehow. i could tell more hints but i am sure that it could have been interesting if they develop it. this kind of thing makes me want to know more, and i am intrigue. and this is way better! SUPER THANKS TO Naoko for supporting the shitennou/senshi. i am just totally converted. and this is the original, not the 90's anime that Naoko didn't directed. i am thankful too that they prolong the life of the shitennou, and gave us a hint. since she really wanted to make a shitennou/senshi story... wish she could do it. i don't think its enough for us in the crystal. it only makes me want more, with that few hints. maybe a side story about the inner senshi, with the shitennou.
anyway, back to the sailor moon classic, so yeah! that's why this two can't be combined, there are huge differences, even with the age of neprhite in crystal anime (19) to the neprhite  90's anime 21, 22-25 *just me guessing his 25*. he is way old for the little ordinary girl's sake(naru) who is only 14 when he looks like a business man, even has a freaking alias(sorry, i find it so funny) who knows, maybe he is older than 21- more like 24-25 if you ask me by the way he looks, and act, and more like a little sister/friend love is what i see. but sorry, that was not even from Naoko's, cause in the original manga, even crystal, He does not give a damn about Naru, but naru should thank the anime production for giving her her spotlight, for Neprhite's death just to make her the filler star of the show. besides, SHE ENDS UP WITH UMINO, SO THEY GIVEN HER SOMETHING AGAIN, A PARENTS LOVE, A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS, AND A NEW REAL LOVER WHO LOVES HER, one and only- UMINO romantically, and she didn't know her best friend in school only is sailor moon, and she becomes a super extra background in the manga, and in the classics, actually i really don't care, i actually am happy she is nothing, but an extra support. no offense, i don't even care about her character, she is not even a sailor scout, but an extra supporting role. there i said it. sorry, i never find her attractive even from the start when i was a kid. so Naru should thank the anime production for that. for giving her the spotlight episode, where she gain a big brotherly friend kind of love.... UNLIKE MAKOTO, and was to serve only Sailor moon, along with the others. an orphan, no family,( but the sailor scouts as her only family), was killed or betrayed by her past lovers by
nephrite in the past, didn't fit in due  the rumors, and her height ,  etc, etc. (maybe they were not killed by the shitennou, who knows. or maybe both died at the same time in silver millenium.) but Makoto deserves her shining in armor, the knight of comfort, and intelligence. which i believe, Naoko really planned that. no wonder Makoto can't find her other half,  and wanting a family due to her life statue, even though she is strong  tough, and independent. because she needs to be, while living alone. in a very young age. I actually felt bad for Jupiter, they ruined her pass side love story, which Naoko originally created for her to be with nephrite. her side story, is more twisted than to venus and mercury whose significant other became gay, but unlike to Jupiter, they really ruined it and gave her more angst that she already have so much in her shoulder. that's why i love her even more as a character. they ruined her side story, that they are not even aware of the outcome. maybe they didn't think it would be remake or something.yes i am talking about the anime producer of the 90's. although they did some great episode stuff to her as well, that is likable,  even if that was not in the original manga. nor Naoko thought of, that's why i also like the 90's anime too, but i also dislike a lot of stuff in some episodes, even in the sailor stars episode.
and Jupiter is not even an extra, but a main character for fuksake. and she didn't know her soul mate had become a stone. i believe Naoko really made him specially for Jupiter. as well as the other senshi/shitennou pairing. like Ami a doctor, and zoicite a healer, and personality balance, as for rei-jadeite, gosh... as the same zodiac as mars, i really need someone who is more patient than i am. i understood clearly and i could see the balance as well too .venus- kunzite, well both are leaders, and all i know Kunzite was really meant for venus. both specialty is about in the loves department. forgotten what knight he was/ obviously they are meant for each other cause Naoko favors them.
. sorry, i need to check their personality further. well... of course, Makoto/Nephite, like Makoto needs someone who can comfort her, and who is the king of the comfort for prince endymion anyway? and at the same time, she is willing to comfort others too, and help them.nephrite is just perfect for her.
. and she is also like the big sister of the inners, so he and neprhite has similarities when it comes to the comfort department. etc
Naoko also has nothing to do with Rei/Mamoru dating. and even when Mamoru still goes out with Rei, despite he is not interested and picks her up for their date one time or whatever,cause i am sure they never dated in the original. nor rei slapping Usagi, just cause she was hurt at the same time knowing Usagi and mamoru has a something or shock to see that they were trapped in the elevator, etc etc. or the 3 sailor stars becoming males, when she only wants pure female to wear sailor suits. cause they only cross dress. you know how Japan is. straight male, cross dressing after work... they said they are not gay. so i really don't know. even Nephrite cross dressed in the crystal, pretended to be a female. as well as zoicite. although poor zoicite, haha... i love that dude. as an individual though,as in since because he was portrayed to be gay in the old anime, but turns out his not in the originals. is just really funny. i do love some of those gay friends, they are fun to be with. but yeah! yeah!, Zoicite is not really gay. but he still seems fun to be with. his character interest me, and wow! when he appears in arc 6 i think, he looks greatly drawn, and his manly whisper low voice. is great in the ears.
they made him gay by the anime directors. they said they were confused when Naoko submitted her manga or something. and a lot lot more fillers... that i won't mentioned any longer. i am sure in one thing though, just like from what i read from some comments, somewhere, and researched as well... even the live action admitted that they added something just to make it unique from the original- that's what the director of the live action said. not naoko. 
again sorry for sharing too much. i can't help it any longer, don't know where to share this to anyone, cause i don't have the other website accounts. cause i keep reading wrong information. and i think i just burst it, all in here. so i am truly sorry, i hope you could consider my comment a friendly one, who is happy to find someone who is a fan of jupiter/neph.

Wow.... That was...er.... one of the longest comments I have ever received, but I do interpret it as a friendly moonie wishing to connect with another moonie.

Regarding your fan movie, yes I would like to see it.

As for the age difference between characters, generally when you get older age gaps (aprox 5 years) are less important in late 20's to 30's, compared to early teens to early twenties. Granted, in this day and age it's unwise for a 14 year old to date an 18 year old, due to maturity gap. Once both parties hit 25, age doesnt really matter (although it would raise eyebrows if a 25 year old decided to marry an 80 year old). Then again, this is coming from a girl whose parents had a 13 year age gap. XD

Also, side info which may be important: Japanese school systems are a little different than American ones.
Elementary (K- 6th grade) 5 - 12years
Middle School (7th - 9th Grade) 13 - 15years
Highschool (10th grade - 12th grade) 16 - 18years

So some of the age gaps between "middle school" and "highschool" age may seem larger than they actually are.

Also I will be doing a MinakoXKunzite, ReiXJadeite, Ami/Zoicite, and HeliosxChibiusa drawings for this series.

I sketch out my drawing before i paint. Sometimes i forget to erase unnessary sketch lines...for example in jupiters skirt close to nephrights leg, you can see some of the wavy pencil lines that I DIDNT erase. Bad Joan. BAAAAAD!

Awhile back I created a progression project of princess Neptune which kinda shows how I start, and gradually layer. Which may also answer your question.....

Practice. Lots...and lots of practice.  What probably helped was I took a bunch of drawing and painting classes, which forced me to draw realistically, soooo I could express perspective/understanding of how things should look on paper. >_> Eventually one of these days I need to do a watercolor tutorial, but I can't do that till I get my work areas cleaner. >___
Quick tip: If you are ever coloring a large area for a drawing, you can put down a layer of watercolor first, let it completely dry, and then color on top of it with colored pencils (clean up the edges, add details etc).
