So the next of the Sailor Moon and Austen cross over paintings is done! For this picture, I paired Minako and Kunzite together with the Jane Austen Novel, "Emma".
To be completely blunt, I have never watched Emma movies, or read the book. GASP! UNFORGIVEABLE!!!! I know....... But I have watched Emma Approved on Youtube, so it's kinda the same thing right?! Yeah pobably not...... XD (link here if you want to watch!www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeeXkf… ) I didnt want to put the name Emma in the title of this picture, so I went with whats fairly obvious: Two lovebirds out on a walk.
I absolutely LOVE this dress, minus the fact it's yellow and orange....my least favorite colors of all time. So....I'm counting my blessings and will just continue to love it anyway.
Kunzite looks dashing as Mr. Knightley. Although I kinda messed up on his skintone. Skintones other than Caucasian are hard to do for me.....but thats due to lack of practice I guess.... AND CHERRYBLOSSOMS! ITS SPRING! LOVE HAS TO BE IN THE AIR RIGHT?! Anywho, I hope y'all enjoyed the picture (and my tangent-esq comments)!

Dawwww! Thanks! You should try reading some of Jane Austen's works (or at least watching the movies). I'm certain I've read two (Pride and Prejudice, and Persuasion), and will eventually get to the others. Eventually being the keyword. Actually, you can watch a modern adaption to Pride and Prejudice on youtube. It's hilarious, and amazing!

i love when people do fan art of characters and series i know and i manage to spot a nod to canon!
also drawing and coloring hats, well any head gear or accessory, is always tricky with trying not to make it look too mishapened... blah.
i was trying to think if any of Austen's stories were featured on Wishbone but i checked and i don't think any were.

Inanimate objects in general are difficult to draw....but the things that tend to be....angular tend to be difficult for me: umbrellas, men, buildings, straight lines, cars, etc.
I'm great with curves. OH DEM CURVES! I CAN ROLL WITH THAT! but not angles. "OH...CARP! I have to draw angles next don't I? NOOOOOO!!!"

i know what you mean. anytime i need to do things like buildings and tile floors... well it doesn't end in tears but it might as well.

Hahaha, thats true. It's harder to make up a building than it is to draw one from observation though....so maybe I'll have to do more research to get the general perspective I want...and go from there. XD
I'm good at drawing hair in general....as long as it's not in tight curls. o___o Tight curls are kinda like trying to draw mini tornado's hanging from someones head. XD As for ballgowns, and dresses in general....YES! I CAN DO THAT! Granted if they are short and fluffy like Card Captor Sakura's 3rd opening dress....thats a bit harder to draw. o_____o'''''''''''''

That would be neat....although the original idea I had involved the outers playing dressup (so in corsets, etc), but it may be a good idea to break them up into smaller groups Uranus and Neptune together (as a couple), and Pluto and Saturn together (not as a couple).
Although I would have to research more into regency era observatory's or regency era telescopes via internet. Oh that could take awhile....
