The composition is fantastic and the colors are BEAUTIFUL in this!! All of the shades of green are gorgeous...and then the teeny bits of pink in the flower buds. Makes me wish I had a mall close that had something like this! Beautiful shot!

google national flowers and you get lists of countries flowers.
a lotus is also a lily right? lily sounds boring....

Wow, there's a lot to see in this photo. The cute green on the right side, the pink/purple flowers on the upper left, the reflections in the water..

Focus looks pretty good I like the fact that it looks like it's taken with a fisheye lens, cause of the reflections. Looks like they're moving a bit.
Colors are very vibrant, very strong.

Thanks. I agree with you on that. I've been trying to look for opened lotus blossoms, but for some reason they don't seem to survive long enough to do so in the city I live in.
