This is great, but if I could make an observation;
I know you were going for proud, but the darker colors and the hollow eyes give a more sinister vibe. Just a thought.

Firstly, thank you for your comment and the observation, I can sort of see where you're coming from with saying that the piece looks "sinister"
Secondly, Rose's pride over her son was more what inspired me to want to draw her in the first place, rather than being the centre-point of the piece itself.
