Description This is the self-portrait that I painted for art class using an orange and blue color scheme. It didn't turn out exactly how I imagined, but I still reaaallllly like how it came out. And I chose the title "Let Go" because of Frou Frou's song, Let Go. This painting reminded me of that song..

First - I love that song featured here! ;U; I have listened to that song for a loooooong time now, many years! <3 Did you know the lead singer of Frou Frou also is the main singer in Imogen Heap? I'm not sure which band came first or whatevs lol


Also, where the hell are the comments?? I can't believe that, according to your deviation stats, 50 people viewed this and nobody said one word. People are disappointing. o-o I can tell you worked hard on this! The effort shows through and this painting looks very well done! The blue and orange look neat together! Drawing humans is hard enough and I know drawing self-portraits can be even trickier. How well does this face match yours in real life? C:

The background is pretty too, the colors blend nicely and everything looks dreamy! ^u^ <33 Even if nobody commented this time, if you enjoy making artwork like this, I think you shouldn't give up on it!

I think Frou Frou came first. She is awesoome I used to listen to her music a lot. It is very inspirational, and gives me a lot of muse juice to work with.


And thank you for your very kind comment. I'm really glad that you like it! (and I agree, people are very disappointing sometimes. ). I'm going to continue working hard and to not give up. And I wish I had the picture I drew from to show you..For the most part, the painting pretty accurate to the original photo (though there are some mistakes too.. Self portraits are tough to do).

And oh you're welcome! Yeah, don't give up! I won't either. I'm going to work on more artwork soon that will have dreamy colors and I hope people will like it too ;o; 

And that's impressive! Self-portraits are really hard!
