I am a metroid fanatic, as far as the 2D ones were concerned, and played them to death ever since I first got a gameboy [return of samus being my first metroid game] back in the day. I still replay them all even today [which is kinda what Ive been doing. redid zero mission a few weeks ago, going chronological]
Though, I played prime hunters on the DS when it came out and hated it, so I kinda didnt bother with the other primes untill now cause I thought they would suck just as much. Was I wrong. haha.

YES Metroid fanatics unite. My first Metroid game was Super Metroid and it forever holds a special place in my heart. I've played it so much I don't even really have to pay attention anymore I just KNOW where everything is.
Metroid Prime Hunters was... Bleh. I didn't like it mainly because it hurt my wrist something awful. It came out after the first Prime though so they're nothing alike. I am glad you took the chance to play the Primes, though. I love Metroid Prime Echoes the most from the trilogy; I just LOVE the Ing SO MUCH.

Yep, it gets like that when youve played a game to death. lol though my memory is terrible esspecially after a year or so, so every time I go back and play through them theres still an aspect of mystery. XD Which is the best part of metroid imo, all the looking around, backtracking, hidden alcoves and such~

Aw yiss the exploration is the best part. My memory is shoddy too, so when I refind all my favourite little nooks and crannies I always feel that wonderful feeling of finding something brand new and amazing well up. It's so great.
Oh man the phazon suit. That's the Omega Pirate, right? He is my all time favourite boss in Prime 1 hands down I love that guy so much.

haha favorite by houw he looks or favorite by how you fight him? I thought the fact you had to find him via the xray visor was pretty epic as far as gameplay mechanics go. But metroid [and nintendo in general] have always been good at making new ways to fight bosses.

I find it a little annoying when he summons plasma troopers but I find the actual fight to be really fun, especially on hard mode.

Egads I dont think I would be able to play this on hard mode. Im having trouble on medium as it is. If it was on PC, with a mouse and keyboard I probably would though.... haha. as far as FPS is concerned I am a mouse and keyboard kind of person. My reflexes just arent the same with a controller. Controllers are more for sidescrollers and adventure games like zelda and monsterhunter, as far as im concerned. XD
But yeah, Just got up to the actual prime. Its a bloody bitch. Im managing to get to the part were it becomes some kind of squid thing that goes invisible, but I keep dying there. I know what I got to do, its just really really hard. XD
