This is actually an older unfinished piece I decided to touch up a little! It was a rough sketch with base colours applied, but man it was fun to apply new techniques to it! I love the ing so much I could cry honestly.Related content

Yeah sure! The Ing are basically a dark counterpart to a race called the Luminoth. Where the Luminoth live in the light, the Ing make their homes in the darkness of their distorted, parallel dimension. Their two worlds are disjointed halves of the same place, really. A Leviathan impacted with the planet Aether with such force that it broke the fabric of space and time itself and brought into being Dark Aether, and with it, the Ing. They're a vicious, mean species who want the entirety of Aether to themselves, both Dark and Light, and have been at war with the Luminoth for decades, stealing their energy sources and growing stronger in their dark dimension.
Being beasts of the dark, they can possess lightworld creatures and bend them to their will. They burn under the light and need hosts in Light Aether. Likewise, the atmosphere of Dark Aether is corrosive to beings such as us and would slowly kill us in the same way our dimension would kill an Ing.Β
BASICALLY THEY'RE AWESOME DARK DEMON THINGS FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION AND MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE ENEMIES FROM THE ENTIRE METROID SERIES.

Yeah, in the beginning of this year, me and my husband did the same and played the Metroid Trilogy on PC (emulator) this time...in full HD. Total eyeporn! You should try it^^
Plus, we have a still ongoing, very entertaining RP XD

Aw man that sounds awesome. I've been meaning to reply the Prime series for a long while now. I still have the original gamecube discs laying around from when I first bought them ages ago, too!Β

Yeah, we played them on Gamecube back in 2004/2005 the first time, when we were practically still brats XD
But later, we bought the complete Trilogy (Collector's edition) for Wii, just because we were still drooling over it.^^
Well, I guess that's your cue to replay them then, ha ha. The emulator is called 'dolphin', where you canplay the trilogy (you need to download an iso, in case you can't dump them from your discs). The PC needs to fit the minimum requirements of a gamer PC though, since otherwise the framerate will drop and slow down the game. We helped the developers of the Dolphin emulator quite a bit when we were experimenting around with it.
