I love the character and image, but I also like how you write~ I read the comment you sent to RocCenere and even your simple explanation drew me in and made me want to know more~ I'm going to have to go back though your gallery and read some of your literature~!~

Thank you! The concept is not mine though, it's from the Magic: the Gathering card game. You can find out a lot of stuff just by googling "Phyrexian" if you're after more information. c:

Very cool design. Β Teeth are actually the creepiest thing in character design. Β It's like the easy way to make something creepy is to remove the eyes and add some big arse teeth.
What's this guy's story? Β IT looks like the white thing is more like a mask?

He is a phyrexian actually, which is a race from the card game Magic: the Gathering. They're my favourite race and I just thought it was high time I finally design a phyrexian for myself to act as a sort of persona for the game when I play it with friends. c:

The white stuff looks like bone but it's actually a superhard kind of white steel grafted to his face. All phyrexians aligned with the Machine Orthodoxy get such grafts and alterations, and if you check out some artwork from the game you can see it. Some of them even get it grafted all over their bodies and it functions as armour. This specific guy I designed though is simply called the Mechanist. He doesn't have a personal name, most phyrexians don't. He's a priest and spends most of his time poring over arcane tomes trying to decipher the words of the Father of Machines, Yawgmoth, to further the spread of Phyrexia and bring the truth of the machine to other races.

He's kind of a shut in as far as horrific mechanical abominations of flesh and steel go. He's honestly more interested in finding out how the organic machines that call themselves non-phyrexians manage to get through life being so incomplete and prone to that pesky thing called death.
