Description
A gift for my friend ~Mird-the-Clever . The character, Ragdoll, belongs to him.Ragdoll is an interesting character. His identity was ripped away, his heart torn from his chest, and his mouth stitched shut so he can't tell anyone. To me he symbolizes the embodiment of sad loneliness, a wraith without an identity doomed to wander for the rest of his pitiful existence until somebody sees him for who he is and restores his stolen humanity.
I only hope I did the character justice. I'm trying out some more different digital techniques and I'm getting more at ease with making stuff look decent in photoshop so... Yeah.
As always any critique is gladly appreciated.

he seems like a really depressing character.
as far as critique goes the background looks pretty good, it could use more whites and the shapes could use some smoother gradients. also another thing I have noticed in many of you drawing is that the lines and edges are too thick and dark, by adding some variation to the line quality you can make the subject look less flat. the hands look very good though, I envy peoples ability to draw good hands.

Do you mean the lines and edges of the pen drawing I based it on, or just in general? Either way, that's still something I can assure you I'm working on. Thank you for pointing it out, though, as I hadn't really noticed... I'm actually displeased with the hands, myself. :<

I mean the ones around his body, the thickness of the lines are not really in sync with the depth of the shapes of his body.
as for the hands, they look better than the ones I have drawn in any on of the pictures I have posted. I mean you saw the disaster of digits I put on Vhosceves forearms (given though thats a fairly dated example of my current skills).

This is beautiful. That expression.. It says so much, shows so much emotion..
And the flower gives the shot so much more meaning, in more ways than one.

You know what's really weird? I submitted it, and it didn't show up in my gallery for ten minutes. I thought dA had freaked out and glitched up or something.
