Description
A less often seen breed within the hive. The Scout is a breed of xenomorph built for speed and agility. It specializes in tracking and path finding for resources, as well as a capable harvester. Though comparable to a drone in size, the scout sports a longer tail that may be used to grasp terrain, and shorter dorsal spines to help the scout fit in tight spots, as well as a lack of dorsal fin. This, however, does not slow down the scout in water, as it is actually one of the best swimmers. Like most xenomorphs, it is unknown exactly what causes a scout to be born. Theory suggests these classifications may have to do with the host itself, or incubation periods. Further research is needed.
The larval form of the scout is unique, in that it trades the long slithering body of most larval forms for under developed legs. Scout larva have been spotted outside the hive on occasion, getting a head start on their lives.

Awesome! Here's what I wrote about the Scout.
Runners:Β These smooth-headed agile aliens act as scouts and assassins for the Hive. They sprint faster than Warriors but their hides aren't as durable. They make up for this weakness with increased range. They can spit their own blood at enemies with remarkable accuracy. This gives their brethren excellent cover fire while the Warriors close in to harvest or kill.

Just curious, could you design a runner that's evolved into a Praetorian?

the metamorphosis of each type, save for the hybrid, will result in the same praetorian.

I wouldn't think so. I've never believed in that whole "purebred" idea when it comes to xenomorphs. Drones and Warriors would make similar praetorians. The Predalien (I refuse to call them hybrids) makes a praetorian with mandibles and dreadlocks, and other traits the Yautja have. I thing Runners, or Scouts as you call them, would make a bipedal Praetorian. For example, The Crusher from Aliens: Colonial Marines could hypothetically be a Runner praetorian.

you mean quadrupedal. I don't mean in other versions, I mean in Terra. I'm not saying I don't like the idea, I'm saying it won't be featured as it does not follow my xenomorph layout.
I don't know why you refuse to call the predalien a hybrid, since that's what it is, but either way works.
I despise A:CM lol

Yeah, I meant quadrupedal.
I refuse to call the Predalien a hybrid simplyΒ for this reason. That would imply that every single alien is a hybrid. Humans are not the natural host for them. I don't know if there is a natural host for them, but we've never seen an alien that is just an alien. Even drones and Warriors take on human traits. Technically, a purebred alien doesn't exist.
Β As for A:CM....I couldn't blame you there. I much preferred AVP 2010.

Because the genealogy of the xenomorphs are not explained in the films, we are left to only assume and guess. Regardless, I'm not talking about anything outside Terra.

Which, by the way, is a well thought out storyline.

Thanks! There's so much you all don't know that I can't wait to share! The pre-write will have some similarities to the actual story, but will be a bit different for the most part, especially in the time of the story it takes place!
