Description
Just a variation on a Xenomorph. One of the newest comic arcs for Aliens introduces a new type of critter with similar colouration to this one actually. Makes me wonder what can trigger the variations. Back when the films were made, a toy company made loads of Aliens based on different animals, i.e. if an embryo incubated inside a bull, it would look different to one incubated inside a human, etc.Me being an evolution and genetics fan, it was just intriguing x3 *is obviously a nerd*

I like the design. I remember those toys your talking about. Also according to several sources I've found, ranging from the wiki to the games they take part of their hosts dna to finish forming while still inside thus the Alien in the 3rd movie was a quadruped rather than a biped like if it had been in a human. AvP Extinction shows this as a Runner. The coloration on this is very cool.

well...a regular xenomorph was bad news.
This guy looks even worse. Very nice work here! Love the striping on it and the gradient used for the shadow is awesome!

Xenomorphs naturally take on traits from the creature they incubated inside. Hence the Xeno-Yaujta from AvPR.

You didn't read "More Than Human" did you? Because this Xeno looks alot like the one's from that comic!

Tail, horns, and spines of a dinosaur/dragon. I've always wanted to see a bestiary of different animals. Stuff from other franchises would be cool, too.

Very nice variation! I am a huge fan of Xenomorphs (mostly because I am a fan of variation and evolution too), and I haven't heard of these variations, thouh they do seem to be quite interesting. Where can I find out more about them?
Honestly though, your artwork is REALLY well done, the coloration and detail is amazing!

Oooh thats a good question. I haven't found anywhere that displays them all, but you can do a search for 'alien toy' and a fair few will crop up. You'll be able to tell because its the really old, slightly tacky looking ones compared to the slick and shiny new ones. And they will be very strange to look at. A few that I can remember off the top of my head are the Gorilla Alien, the Mantis Alien, the Snake Alien, the Scorpion Alien, the Panther/Jaguar Alien, the Warthog Alien, the Bull/Rhino Alien...oh and the King Alien.

This is very very well done. Watch the angles of your hands/feet vs the over angle you're going for. Mainly the Right hand in this case. Everything else is on par! ...though you might toy with saliva in future aliens

I've always lovedlovedloved Xenomorph design, and kinda preferred when they CGed them in some of the films, because they could get that extreme anatomy. A person in a suit is never the same xD

When I was a kid I was a big Alien fan and going from memory I had this blue one with a mohawk and wings, a red reg alien, a blue reg alien, and what I believe is a queen thingy. I'm actually giving them away now
