History

'Ugori', as he is now known, used to be two entities - a man and the demon he summoned. As a man, he sought power on his own world. Wealth. Fame. Women. He wanted it all and didn't care how. Using the services of a dark witch, a shadow demon was summoned and paired to the man to answer his every call and whim. However...forces more powerful than the witch wanted the same demon and would have the man removed if possible. They tried to summon the demon alone...

...it was to bed the undoing of them both.

Unable to break the bond the witch had set in place, both demon and man were summoned but due to the nature of dark magic and its unpredictability, they ended up on Gatta.

As a single being.

The man no longer a human. Instead his flesh and bone warped by the influence of the demon. He kept his state of mind but at the sacrifice of his body. Now, he has the power he always dreamed of, but must bow to his demonic urges and impulses.

Personality

Ugori is a very bitter individual, and has no problems taking out his frustrations and anger on innocent passers-by. He feels little in terms of remorse or guilt, or even conscience or hesitation. No longer bound by flesh, he is, in essence, impervious to most physical problems and obstacles. So he has no aversions to taunting others and then disappearing, or inflicting horrific injuries for the sake of it. He is still ruled by some human compulsions though, and does sometimes find himself to be 'lonely,' although this more-often than not manifests as lust rather than companionship. He used to be a man after all. He is generally patient, maybe more so now. He has a fondness for classical music, harking back to his days as a human.

Abilities

- Shadow-walking; this simply means he can move in and out of shadows like they were pools of water. It allows him to travel very quickly over long distances and obviously it is a stronger skill at night. Ugori's body is primarily made up of shadows most of the time, giving him a very limber and liquid appearance. He can solidify himself though.

- Negative empath feeder; the very fibre of Ugori. He does not need food or water or even anything physical to keep him alive (notice how he has no nostrils or breathing holes of any kind?). He needs negative energies, so that incorporates a vast array of negativity from sadness and grief, to depression, to anger and rage. He also has a specific taste for nightmares.

- Mutation; Ugori can manipulate his form at will but is limited to how much energy he has to spare, and to what he already has available. For example, he can make other limbs and body parts (to give himself four arms or two tails for instance), can swell his size and musculature, and increase the boney plates and spikes on his body. He cannot turn himself into anything.

Fighting style/skills;
Ugori is not much of a physical fighter (at least not in his normal form), and relies on stealth and his empath abilities to strike fear and terror in opponents. He has been known to literally scare someone to death. However, if cornered or forced into his physical form as opposed to his shadow-walking, he can fight using his long claws, whip-like tail, and strong tongue. He has very animal-like movements when fighting and will regularly do things like pounce and bite.

Weaknesses;
Despite his shadow-like body, Ugori is not totally invulnerable. For a start, any strength he gets from feeding is only temporary. And if he were to be overwhelmed with negative energies, he can lose control of himself and spiral in to a berseker-like mode, where he has no concept of friend or foe. This can leave him very weak for days afterwards.
Ugori will be heavily affected by magical law and spells, and does his best to avoid witches, sorcerer's, etc. He will also still be affected by elemental attacks (although nothing physical, like hurling rocks). It is not recommended that psychics or telekinetics try to infiltrate Ugori's mind though - its a scary place and can be life-threatening.
