Greatest queen of changeling...
Below I will describe the main features of Queens of any swarm, not only Chrysalis

• Queen as "royal" special type of her species. She is born in the last clutch of the living Queen. The larva of future Queen is snow-white in contrast to the other black or dark-grey cubs. When the future Queen has developed to a certain stage the old Queen dies and makes place for her.
• This changeling the most taller and elegance. Queens most often reach a height equal to that of alicorns like Celestia.
• Queens eat very little physical food. Basis of their energy is the Power of Love Magic which they're sucks out the pony.
• Of course their role in Swarm - leadership, breeding and swarm development.
• The most important detail of this changeling's type - Queens have their own magic, equal in strength to the average magic of unicorns. When the Queen is feeding with the magic of love her powers increase and can match the magic of the alicorns. Also Queens have an innate ability for mimicry, which allows them to mimic even the strongest creatures.

So...I'm bad developer of headcanons but....but her redesign looks good I mean :')
And I think can be more swarms of changelings, not just the one we know in MLP. It seems to me that there can be a few swarms throughout Equestria with their own Queens, territories and features...
