Cool. I wish i could draw as fancy world maps as you. Then i would have something to work with.

It took me about 1 week drawing those maps on PS, after you get the feeling, work flows fast! Also there's a forum called Cartographer's Guild on net with a lot of tutorials! you should try it!

Shweeeet.
Ya know if there's any tutorials on how to pixel mountains? Because at the moment, that's what i need to do with my world map. This one [link] That's the result of using maps similar to the ones you create. Well, mine was kinda basic since it was just an island. Still, several weeks and 57 versions later this is what i got.
Ey, if you're in the mood, expand the world in my game.
World maps are hard, if you in fact would want to create a world map for me, i would of course put you in credits, as well as buff the graphics.
As for story, if you're interested. I'll cut it short since anything about the main characters isn't necessary. It's in the future, no one knows what year it is since a massive amount of explosions, one so large that it created a frigging big crater where the unites states once was and the blast radius and the blast wave mutated anything in a certain radius as well as making anything uninhabitable to humans. Mutant became demons of their past selves where their instincts controlled their actions, not their mind. They more or less became animals and barely looked like humans anymore due to the mutations. This is how i planned the world to look like before.. [link]
Environmental effects of the bombs has caused the landmasses shift and turn and 900 years-ish later the storyline of my game starts during a world war four. Although more steampunk-ish and beaten down.
Anyway, tell me if you're interested. XD

Sounds a pretty good idea for an map, correct me if i'm wrong but you wanto do do some sort of scorched earth after a bombing over USA? with a bomb crater like AKIRA anime? What's the scale of the map you want? A good ideia is to use a map with projected floods to see what you get with the ocean with 10 meter up because de ice melting down. Or a nuclear winter. Specify the details and I see what I can do to help you!

Hm, well, bombing the bigger cities will send the world into a nerd rage mode, flinging tornadoes and Magma up into the sea up.
What i want to do is a world where the world has stabilized somewhat. Still, nuclear winter is cool.
The five instead of four seasons. :S
I can't really come up with more details as the world map is kinda sketchy at the moment.

Well, since i also wrote that roughly 900 years has passed. It was a number i came up with while writing that.
The world has been scorched, the world has been affected by radiation. The blast zones, although infected long ago, they are still supposed to be kinda radioactive even 900ish years later. The world shifts and turns naturally and by doing so opens up a new world.
Think of each crater as a gigantic hole, that with time fills with water, then the earth shifts as it always has and a new world takes shape.
It's just an idea, actually figuring out how much the world would change from that future to this future would be pretty frigging hard to calculate.. so use your imagination or if you are bored enough to calculate how the world would shift, feel free to do so. XD

I got the idea. Will do something based on the real world since a nuclear war is powerful enough to wipe civilization from the face of earth, but i think it dont have the power to change the earth surface in a substantial way. Let me see what I can do.

Hm, needs more bombs.

Oh well, you might as well tell me if you aren't interested as well, so i can ask someone else. :S
