Nah, man. The original sentence was "Something blah blah between me and him." The way you figure out these sentences is you remove the other person so it would be "Something blah between me," and it would sound weird if it was "Blah blah omg between I." Also, English was created to be polite, so you always state the other people first. So yeah, Stanford was right.
