Drawing more dragons, yey. I'm actually really, really happy with this one. It's not perfection, but coming from me, it's pretty good I'd dare say. Best I've done so far, heh. ...Well, the bg is still shit, but, uh, don't look at that. Look at the fabulous dragon and the gold things which I finally am slowly learning how to shade.I hope I didn't forget anything.

I did work pretty hard on this particular piece, good to hear that the scales turned out okay xD did them with the mosaic filter gimp has, so wasn't sure how it'd look then

Yeah it has that, under filters and... distortions, i believe (my gimp is in finnish so not entirely sure if its called that one in english but that's the translation)
it's pretty useful in making scales, though it makes it seem rather flat so usually some tweaking is needed after, or at least i think so and do some twisting on it to bring some depth
just experiment and you'll figure something out xD i make almost everything accidentally by experimenting with the filters, and some work better than others
