Description

Easter time is nearing, so I figured it might be a good idea to come up with an Easter themed kitty well ahead of time this time. (Usually I'm either right on time or too late. Atleast, if I'm planning on selling something seasonal xD)

The kitten in the basket is based on a real life kitten named Fighter. He came to our local cat shelter a few weeks ago, after he was found alone along a lonely road. The poor guy was underweight and covered in fleas, who had sucked him all but dry. When the staff gave him a bath to clean him up and get rid of the fleas the water turned blood red.
Little Fighter spent his first week in the Vet's clinic and had just been discharged in to the care of the shelter, when he got critically ill and had to go back for further treatment. He was x-rayed and they discovered that he had some kind of blockage in the intestines that prevented any food from passing. A decision had to be made between doing the surgery or to let the little guy sleep the eternal sleep.
The shelter opted to give him another shot at life and he was operated the same day. It turned out that his intestines had twisted. Luckily the vet was able to sort him out and today he is back onto the road of recovery.

I finished this basket today and it will be used as a price for a lottery that will hopefully help bring in some much needed money to this awesome shelter!
