Description
After a depressingly long period of cold weather, we finally got a two weeks window with sunny weather and decided to spend some of those days at the beach.
Although sunny, the air remains cold with a biting wind and the sea water is chilly, so bathing has been out of the question. However, it didn't take long for me to notice the pieces of polished sea shells that lie scattered around among pebbles of stone and other debris that has been washed up by the sea. Some of these sea shells look very much like scales and that's reason enough for me to venture outdoors, regardless of the freezing wind and spend hours at a time scavenging the beach for them.
The weather has shifted again and it's raining. Maybe I will venture down to the beach later today, but then again, I have a whole bucket of sea shells by now...
