Important
This is not a brush you can change the color of. You do not have to save it in the .GIH format, you may save it in the .GBR format as well. This tutorial was created for beginners, so you may want to skip a few steps if you are experienced in The Gimp.Notes
Originally I wasn't going to post any tutorials I made on dA; however, this tutorial takes up way too much storage space on my personal website, so I hope you all enjoy!

I'm not sure what you are really asking. Are you asking how to change the color of the flame brushes or are you asking how to make brushes that allow you to change the color of them when you use them?

Hmm, I'll be honest with you, sweetie. I can't answer that question. I'm a bit rusty when it comes to making brushes, and because I mainly make the flame brushes, I don't deal a lot with making brushes that you can change the color of, however, here is a link to a tutorial that should be able to help you a lot better then I can.

Hun, there are tons of tutorials that cover the same thing over and over again. It's not going to hurt to have one more of this type of tutorial. Anyways, I checked your tutorial out and they're not the same.
Mine is lengthy for beginners. Your's is short and sweet - right to the point for those who already know how to work GIMP. Also, my tutorial is for "brushes". Your tutorial is for abstract designs. See the differences?
Plus, it's a function in GIMP that everyone has access too... Most people just don't know what they are doing. xD That is why there are people like us who make these tutorials to help others.
So, to sum it all up... You don't have to apologize, and you don't have to be sorry.
