The reason I pick a tree is because of the branches, and the roots, the branches are like other worlds, and the leafs are chapters in it's life cycle, how far the story will go. And the roots can get tangled in other roots as well, that's crossover into other peoples worlds as well, but that's how I see it from my point of view. But the trunk, the tree trunk is the base of the world, our main world :3

Hmm...simple, easy to understand. However, there are a few things I'd like to understand more about this. Namely, what are the other-world and the dream-lands? I'm pretty sure I can guess what the dream-lands are but I'd like to hear your explanation.

The Other-world (also known as the astral realm or the Land of Faerie) is where the faeries, elementals, dragons, and monsters of old reside and its where most of the them went to after humanity started to hate magic. The Other-world is similar to earth but much more enchanting and terrifying than any fantasy story with its own set of rules, places, class system, etc.
The Dream-lands is where all dreamers from every universe goes when they sleep. Its based of the works of H. P. Lovecraft but with added concepts of my own design. This place also contains its own magical creatures, locations, and rules similar to the Other-world.

On the subject of the other-world how do those types of beings fit with the "after life" type realms. Do they have souls, are they judged when they die, can they die, etc?
